Nothing has happened, any references to engagements and weddings relate to my DD and the only small change (not of the frugal papier mache stick-it-in-the-piggy bank kind) that I have to make is that HS (houseshare) has agreed that I may refer to him as OH from now on and we are are now planning to frugalise a combined budget as he's now as addicted to frugal life as I am (well... almost). But thank you Ddraig for such a fantastic show of support! ;):D :rotfl: :o   :T

We have started househunting as the lease here expired on the 1st July. Although it would be great to stay on here and reap the benefits of the frugal vegetable plot, we would prefer to be further out into the country. The road we are on is a regular target by idiotic youths in noisy little cars who have no respect for anything or anybody and I'm turning into a curtain twitching, fuming, seething snitch with thoughts of researching the differences between numbers like .177, .22 and .410! Words like 'kalashnikov' slip to mind and I briefly considered the possibility of posting a wanted for a secondhand 'stinger'. What with free bingo Thursdays and such like, I'd rather forfeit my broadband connection than end up eating three square meals a day at her majesty's pleasure. :rotfl:

So, it's back to business as usual. OH ( happy.gifI am happy about the change of abbreviation, can you tell?) is merrily completing 5p listings whilst I frugalise further to include another house move that will hopefully be for the longterm.

PS: Frugal good news - Brussels is trying to slash VAT, apparently this could affect us all by making it cheaper to eat out, have a haircut and do some home decorating. Hmm... can't Brussels abolish VAT on fuel, convince OPEC to reduce the price of oil and reveal the secrets of how to power our homes and transport on water? That WOULD be good news!!

PPS: Brussels just called and, apparently, there is no secret to powering your transport on water - you keep it in a field and harness it up when it's needed to pull the cart! :rotfl:

Why, MrDT, I am flabbergasted that you should consider my post as containing anything other than genuinely helpful information. Honest! ashamed005.gif

He he, just came to the thread to confirm that Nyk is indeed one (very happy) half of a new couple - congratulations Nyk and OH! :T:j:T:j:D And you didn't even have to go on an SAS weekend to make him see sense, good work! ;)

Glad you had a great time Mr DT, looked ace!

Cornwall has now been traded in for Greece :rotfl:same price and MUCH better weather :jThe flight leaves from my brother's house (no, not a private jet ;)) and flies back into Gatwick so it's perfect as we're going to Brighton anyway; obviously destiny :D We're leaving here at 7 so I'll say bye now, have a great frugal week and I'll see you when I'm back xx
Hope my fine strapping men give you lots of fun Marru, thanks again x

Bails, have a fantastic time!

Jumble-Bee    I'm shocked at you! I'm a very respectable, middle-aged grandmother who lives a simple and frugal lifestyle. I'm thinking of the countryside, open spaces, woodlands, paddocks, rivers and streams... I'm thinking of lambs in springtime, calves, wild deer and other such cute creatures. Coal fires, chickens in the back yard, potatoes in the garden... I'm thinking single track roads, 4 'o clock milking, winter storms, power outages, fallen trees and telephone lines down... :o

Don't you think I'd be safer with reliable company at all times? :rotfl:
