Why?? are you posting undercover?? :cool:I like to read everyone's posts:D so pop on and say hi and tell us when you have had a no spend day:T I don't think I post anything exciting but it helps keep me focused and I like reading back the threads and seeing how we are all doing.:D

I read everything...I just forget it as soon as I've read it. Or else remember it but not sure who to attribute it too.
What I absolutely love is the way people casually toss stuff into the conversation: eg Redglass' "As it happens I'm just going to Dublin soon".
That would be a major event in my frugal lifetime.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Sorry still struggling to catch up with things. I need a holiday - a DDless holiday with just the Dog and I roaming along the South West coastal path and staying in a nice B&B....
I am also tired with my dreams and I know that they are all because of unsolved relationships but just feel too tired to tackle them head on at the moment. Need to do it soon thou. I have decided that if DD's dad hasn't put any money into her child trust fund account I will send him a stinking email and tell him to sod it. All this time he has bought her ridiculously impractical and expensive Christmas present, got her really beautiful wellies and went through lots of trouble to get her caps that have her name embroydered that I can't let her use for safety reasons (he did get some clothes as well when he came here when I was doing his tax return). He hasn't taken her out not once (unless I have taken her somewhere half way and stayed with them) or kept her in his place for a weekend. He keeps sending text messages like: have you remembered to use suncream on her, has she been waring cap in school... which are driving me bonkers.
Ok so after doing so well with NSDs over weekend again (as again didn't manage to get out of the house) I went and splurged today for expensive ready pizza which was really delicious. Back on potatoes and beans for me tomorrow after that kind of extravaganca. .
I guess that was enough moaning for one day.
Last night I don't know what time it was when DD came to my bed. I was too far gone to do anything about it but not far enough to be able to sleep properly. Then at five am she said she wanted tv on. At that point I decided to abandon ship and went to sleep in her bed and it took me ages to get back to sleep. When I got up she was sleeping in my bed with tv on. I so hope that she doesn't do that tonight as am desperate to get some rest.
So logging off now, wish me luck...
Good night,

Jumble-Bee I hope you feel better in the morningHave you considered housesharing?
(Sorry, I had to ask after everything that's been said on here today
)
Hi Slowlyfading, glad to see you are still here, I do read all the posts but, like the others, by the time I read them I have mostly forgotten who said what - it's frufal brain syndrome, methinks :rotfl:
Marru, if I had a big house in the country with space for you, DD and the doggies to visit, then I'd invite you for a frugal Scottish holiday and your DD could keep my DGD company.
Babysitting tomorrow, so I'm guessing that, if the weather is dry, we'll be outside playing with 'Fossey' in the stable. Fossey, for those who don't know,
is DGD's new pink bike that lives in the shed but she'd rather have had a pony, so she compromised as only 3 year-olds can.:rotfl: We'll probably need to bake at some point too, as DS was grumbling about there being no biscuits in the house (again).
Mumzy - was your standing order genuine or was it set up fraudulently? The reason I ask is here. I'm a little bit disappointed that not a single person has commented on it but that does go to support my theory about the origins of the site being used by the fraudsters.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

nope still ill today - but im on my couch under a blanket, jeremy kyle is on, and i got a delivery of soup, grapes, and a chocolate orange yesterday from my mummy, so its not that badshhh im secretly having a great time, as long as i dont have to get up!
as for housesharing, i already share - unfortunately its with my brother! (actually, i like to think of it as two single bedroom flats joined at the kithchen, as we have 2 rooms and a bathroom each)
i did hatch a crazy frugal plot the other night through....i have applied for life coaching training (which i might get paid through my volunteering as they have personal development grants for long term volunteers) and apparently some life coaches charge £100 an hour!
sooooooooo if i did that, then if i got bf to move into my '1 bedroom flat', charged him rent to cover my mortgage, got him to pay the council tax.............
then i would only have to work for 16 hours a year! :rotfl:
