Just on to update sig. Went to Tesco post office to pay rent so did a quick nip in for eggs, forgot my mum's Vanish soap bar
but got some reduced blueberries which means more muffins much to DD1's delight :j - favourite fruit and muffins!! Seems the only way to get them to eat fruit at the moment.
We had take away last night cos I really couldn't be bothered to cook, added that to 2K budget - probably wrong place but I thought it was best as it's a rare event.
Will be back later to update again as I have to get some things sorted for my mum's 70th on Saturday, we're going out for a meal but I want to get a photo cake for her.
I've just realised I've never added my GC spends to my 2K am I meant to? I think I am0 -

OMG you two are crazy.:D :rotfl:Started me thinking I'd written it wrong in the first place.
Well I got my cake with a photo on itand some other bits and pieces including some reduced supercook stuff - 100's and 1000's 13p a pot even though they have Dr. Oetker on them
(I brought 5 pots, last on the shelf) and some birthday candles and holders that I don't need but they were only 16p for a pack of 24 candles and holders.
Total spend so far today £15.180 -
Good: Things may be picking up a teensy - weensy bit over the self-employment. Had a little flurry of interest in the past few days, which is giving me hope.
Better: Lovely afternoon at DS' school, where they put on some entertainment for the parents. DS won 2 prizes too (1 for a speech he did and the other for the quality of his work) so am very pleased with him. Would have put this as 'best' but he won't let me
Best: I said as a treat for working so hard at school, he could have £2 to spend on anything he wanted. I didn't realise how frugal I had become, because the look of pure delight and surprise on his face made my eyes water. Anyway, he is so pleased with himself as he spent just £1.10, on BOGOF fizzy drinks. And he insisted I kept the change, and he gave me one of the drinks. So his frugal treat totalled 55p, and that is why DS says that this is today's 'best'.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Or you can use the sachets, but you'd need to check how easy it would be to buy them - where would you get them and how much do they cost? If you have to order them every time, that's just another job to get done, and of course they are pricy + postage.
As for flavouring your own yog's - you could put in your own fruit. As a treat I sometimes add low sugar butterscotch angel delight to nat yog rather than milk and it is so creamy and delicious. You could use your nat yog to make HM fruit smoothies.
HTHMy self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -
Welcome back MrDT, glad you enjoyed yourself despite the unfortunate incident with your mate's wallet getting pinched. Like you say, there's always some iriot around to throw a spanner in the works. Hope you aren't too hung over and hope the homebrew went down well
It's turned out a beautiful, sunny and warm night here. I just hope it means good weather for the rest of the week, as I have so much gardening to do plus there's a frugal double celebratory day trip and picnic later this week - HS is soon to be known as OH and we are now househunting together for the longterm:j (sorry Mumzy's neighbour :rotfl: ).
