She wants to thank her neighbour, not terrify the poor bloke into leaving the country! :rotfl:

MrDT - hope you have a fab time even although you've probably left by now and won't read this.

Janey - I hope everything goes to plan tomorrow. Thinking of you. :)

Well, you'll see by my signature that the spending has increased, somewhat, but that's because I had to pay the quarterly electricity bill. It was about a third of the last one, clocking in at £163 for the months of April, May and June. At least I now have a target to beat for the next quarter. :T On the positive side, I have received emails informing me that I have 2 lots of cashback on it's way into my bank this week :j A total of around £70. It isn't showing up yet, so I'll wait until it does before updating my total. Still no signs of my Asda voucher, either!

I'm way behind with everything this week what working elsewhere and not being able to access the Internet. I managed to get a connection twice today but there is some sort of incompatibility with my software when I try to use it for dial up. Between that, trying to follow the exploits of the scammers, and trying to keep up with normal work, it's a hectic week and I can't wait until Sunday, when my time should become my own again.

I didn't even log on to free bingo this week! :o

Most frugal act of the week so far - saved the seeds from the soggy strawberries after straining the soon-to-be wine into the demijohn! :rotfl:

Nyk - saving strawberry seeds is definately hardcore frugalism. Must have taken ages picking them out.

My frugally collected seed collection for next year so far includes ; butternut squash, melon, yellow peppers, green peppers, sweet orange peppers, chillis, and tomatoes. Aim to have lots more by next year to start off my veggies;)

Cakes and marmalade now done.Goodnight everyone.

I'm off to the big city in a mo' First time for months! and it's only 40 miles away... So, no more figures today, shall be trying to keep a tight rein on spending. Promise to report back accurately, but goodness knows how I'll cope with the parkiing in Cardiff.... £12/day

Janey, my thoughts and love are with you today, tomorrow and in the days to come.
If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D

Hello! It's bright and sunny here
Thinking of you, Janey. I hope you get a lovely day for Tom's big send off and that you managed to add Baileys & Kleenex to you virtual shares portfolio. Hugs of support being sent from all of us to all of you and don't forget to let me know if there's anything I can do from here over the coming weeks.

Sophiesmum - strawberry seeds didn't need picking out because I cheated! :D If you squash the strawberries then run the lot through a muslin bag, the seeds go with the juice. I then strained the juice through a coffee filter and all the seeds stuck to that. Leave it drying in the sun and then brush them off into a paper towel or napkin. Hey presto! :D My stash for next year now includes sweet peppers, chillies, melon, strawberries, tomatoes, peaches and all of the seeds I bought with the BOGOF deal.

Potatoes! The flowers are dying back on the plants and the seed pods are appearing! I read that a single seed pod produces enough seeds to plant out an entire potatory (what else can I call a veggie plot filled with potatoes? ) so I will be able to add potatoes to my seed list soon. I have also been saving the seeds from all the Marigolds at the front and will be planting these amongst the veggies next year - read that somewhere too. My carrots are being knocked senseless by the cats! I don't even know if I'll can salvage them by the time I get back into the garden! Leeks, onions & brocolli all doing fine and I have several baby tomoatoes appeared, plus Big Jim is getting ready to flower! :j

Now, what's all this about frugal fantasy land and rabbits? I hope they weren't thinking of my carrots! I certainly hope that wasn't Marru's Irish vet with a penchant for cooking crumbles! And I really hope Jumble-Bee recovers her composure enough to get back to normality! Lucky Mr DT missed that part, but poor Mr JB! I'll bet he's glad they don't sell fluffy bunnies at jumble sales!:rotfl:

FunBrum - what a brilliant haul at the supermarket! Well done!

Ddraig - have fun in the big city :)

I'm off to read a few more posts now before lunchtime or I get disconnected again, whichever comes first. Catch you all again soon and have a good day. Pity I missed the bingo, sorry Marru, just hadn't any time left yesterday. :o

I dread to think what time i need to wake up when DS starts school!

    Today i have spent:
