Just waving to say "hello" and "y'all have a good day now" - having found one of my posts on a thread that got transferred back here.

Right - back off to cook dinner whilst pondering on the subject of how my real world/"virtual world" (ie t'Internet) and t'other world (see my name for a clue to that one!) all seem to be doing a real "mix and match" on me at t'moment. Hmmm....well learning experience time...thats for sure...;) :D
  • Thanks, everyone, for the welcome!

I'm in the middle of having a cup of tea (teabag saved for 2nd cup later..) and am starting to make my mince (padded out now with chickpeas, onion and grated carrot.....mmmmmmmm)

Just finding my way around the boards - there is so much useful stuff! I've emailed all my (spendthrift, debt-ridden, shopping-addicted friends to tell them about this site....)

    Hello again everyone

Does anybody know why people can be so nasty for no good reason? I've just been the victim of road rage. Some twit in a 4x4 decided to pull out from where he was parked on the side of the road and nearly hit me - he missed but only because he saw me at the last moment. I looked round at him - well ya would, wouldn't ya?? - and he started "what the hell are you looking at? Have you never made a mistake? F*** off!!" yadda yadda yadda:rotfl::rotfl: I got out and told him to either tell me what I had done wrong or else shut up. Apparently I'd given him a dirty look:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: What an idiot. I'm glad I stood up to him, though I think that if I had been a bloke he'd have decked me. I hope somebody lets his wheels down.

So then, the house is still in chaos, as I have been job hunting most of the day. I did manage to give the garden a tidy up, and the lawn a trim, and water all my pots, and put another wash on and put clothes on the line. At least I have achieved something today, even if it's just little things. I have applied for a couple more jobs as well, applied direct to the companies. Judging by the experiences outlined by both Pooky and Dazi I thought today would be a good day to give employment agencies a miss. I'll have to phone them tomorrow to chase up on the various jobs they have (apparently) been putting me forward for. They make me cross as so many of them fudge the truth about what they have done, and then fob me off when I put even a teensy weensy bit of pressure on them.

Has anybody seen Pink-winged and/or Haribo today? I think Churchie is unwell - get better soon wee Churchie. And Shez, are you STILL at the gym???

    Bye for now all.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    hi everyone

    i overslept this morning so didn't have time to post (woke up at 7.45, out of the house by 8.05!:eek: ) so happy birthdays, hugs, happy anniversaries and welcomes all round;

the cat had a fight at 3.00 with an interloper into our garden and then required tlc for a bleeding lip and a pathetic (broken????? ) leg that he (yes, HE, so don't be surprised!!) couldn't possibly put any weight on, oh, that is, until i came in from work and put some milk down for him. trot, trot, down the stairs, tail up, smiley face, purr, purr. hmmmmmmmmm - typical man!

good day at work.....oh seems to be on the mend too, although i'm not daft enough to think we have seen the last of this, and the sun is shining.

hope everyone else is ok - will catch up on reading thread later - need to eat - no time to make packed lunch this morning!!!!

    PO xx

Hi STOPTHEMADNESS, welcome to a great friendly group here. When I lost my visa and had to hand over real cash it made me realise just how much money was being spent. When using cards it's just a figure on a bit of paper but when using cash I found it harder to hand over. My silly Money Saving tip.

CERIDWEN, thanks for the link, I've never seen that page before, suppose I spend to much time on here with my friends
    must get out more often!!

    Snowy

No, here I am !:hello: I didn't even get to the gym today do to one thing or another!:o I even forgot to put the duck in the oven for dinner (so that will be abit late tonite-oops) - I do need to get to the gym soon though - I've been on an eating binge lately and need to get back on the losing weight band wagon!:o

I got caught up taking DD to the Equestrian Centre this afternoon, she can't start lessons till 5yrs, but it was nice seeing all the horses - and I'm quite tempted in popping in one evening to see the adult lessons!!:D and taking the plunge like Anniestar said the other day! (money permitting of course!) It's been about 15 years since I last went horse-riding! but I used to love it!

My DS1 was very pleased with the footy result for Spain, as he put a £20 bet on at 6-1 - £120 he got! I did ask if he was gonna treat his old mum to a Walnut Whip with his winnings...but dont hold yr breath!:rotfl:

Snowy - Glad you gave the road-rager what for!:T
Catowen - Well done on the weight loss! give me a kick up the jacksy will ya?!
CM - sorry to hear your not wellx
PP - hope yr feeling better soon x

mrsmix - That sounds like a good investment:T thought of you today... they mentioned on the radio that there is a fair/show on (didnt catch where) and they have the actual carousel from Mary Poppins!

Big hugs - to all those having problems with the employment agencies!

    Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

I have been doing stuff all day. After a tea spilling incident, had to take laptop to be repaired, so that'll be more money cost.

Parents wanted me to do a long list of things for them, so dutifully made some mini quiches, and have been doing stuff for them all day. Just made dinner, and ok, there was a little too much liquid in the pie, but all I get is comments about it. It's almost automatic that I'll make tea now, I don't mind, but if it's not appreciated then it's very annoying.
