Well, although DH and I are in separate countries, it's our wedding anniversary today! Mind you, we usually celebrate the day we met more than the day we married. We met on my birthday (which also happens to be my DS1's birthday, too) in September. He phoned last night to say he and his crew had arrived safely after a very long drive, almost 500 miles, and were unwinding with a cuppa. I shall text him in a minute just to wish him Happy Anniversary then we'll talk later on when he phones. His brother's little boy was so excited that his 'bestest' uncle was visiting so I sent him with a pile of little pressies because we don't see him very often. I don't know how well they'll go down with the grown-ups - one of the pressies was a waterbomb kit which, knowing him, he'll have great fun with!

Well, I don't have to cook tonight because I have been invited to DS2's for dinner.My future DIL is a good cook so I'm looking forward to that. I'm taking pudding which I think will be a fresh fruit salad and cream and I shall make a loaf of bread to take with me.

Oh, well, I suppose I'd better go and have some breakfast so I'll see you all later.

Good morning everyone. (((((hugs))))) to all who need or want one. Been a bit out of the loop on the OS for a while, so hope everyone is ok and ((((hugs)))) to those who aren't.

Been busy lately, so much to do and so little time. I was sorting out the loft yesterday and earlier in the week, putting shelf units up and trying to compact the stuff we have, still got loads to do up there-and to think I only sorted it all out a few months ago... That said, at that time it was more rearranging the boxes etc than going through all of them, so I only went through a few of them.
Eldest DD going camping with school in a couple of weeks and I'm having to sort out rucksack, sleeping bag, tent, hiking boots. Already bought the boots and the tent, trying to get a rucksack now and dragging sleeping bags out of the loft for her to choose one!!!
Right better go and have a bath.

morning all!

just seen Ds1 off to work from home - he usually goes from his lodgings, its a 50 min drive from home so I wont relax till he's got there safely.
Off to work later for a long shift. Not been around all weekend due to work. went to see the Opera Babes on Sat night and they were brilliant:T so DH and I are going to see them later in the year hopefully when they are touring near to us.
