Hi all - just want to thank you all for your Happy Anniversary wishes!

RedRuby - we've been together for 30 years in September but only married 14 years today! One of the longest engagements in history, I think - 16 years!

We've just texted each other; well, I say we - he still doesn't know how to text (he's VERY resistant to this 'new-fangled' technology!), so I texted him and he got his 9year old nephew to text me back!

I've just started off my first batch of Artisan bread (from the new thread that started yesterday) and it's rising as we speak. I've also got the BM on just in case the Artisan bread doesn't work out!

The sun is really shining today - it's very uplifting, isn't it?

I've just got one load of washing on the line, tidied the bedrooms, cleaned the bathroom and I need to go out to get some strawberries, a melon and some cream so that I can make fruit baskets for pudding at DS2's this evening.

Anniestar - let's hope you find the strength and courage to get through the next three days; don't forget, we're here for you.

Tattycath - good to hear from you - I was wondering where you were. (((Hugs))) to you.

Well, I'd better go and get ready to go out.

    See you all later.

Morning all, haven't read thread since Sat am. Will catch up after this. Dh is at Dentist for root canal work so got HM soup out of freezer for his lunch, BM on so he can dunk. Will make a Cottage Pie for dinner, he wont have to chew much. Bedding out of WM and blowing on the line. Plan to tackle the weeds today as it's sunny in S/set.

Furniture for twin bedroom arriving tomorrow, ordered 6 weeks ago.

Check up on hand/arm at hosp on Wed and make app for the other one to be done, having second thoughts as the opp was so painfull and hand not working properly.

Take DD2 to hosp on Thursday for a conduction test, she has the same symptoms with her hands/arms as I have. Total coincidence as it doesn't run
in families. Hope to God she wont have to have an opp.

Friday hope to drive to Dartmouth to see DB2, he is sinking deaper into his depression, he will get the results re his heart/lungs on Wednesday, so will phone him after my hosp app. DB1 is worried about DB2 and vice versa but don't seem to communicate. It's a man thing.

Right then,, off to takle the weeds after a coffee.

Hugs to Smokeybabe, still thinking of you, Annie, PenPin, Candy and DD. Sorry if Ive left anyone out but haven't read through. xx

    Good morning!

    Happy Anniversary Miolieres

Happy birthday lindsayann and kyles DS1. Hope you both have great days

Yes, I'm back. I know you all must have missed me terribly :)
Basically, I split up with OH and am now living on my own for the first time ever. It's pretty scary but I am *so* thankful for what OS has taught me over the past few years. It is really coming into its own now I am fending for myself.

Anyway, now its just me to worry about, I am really going to try and sort my finances out. I have made a proper budget and am determined to stick to it and save some money.
Think I will join Pin Money Savings - I have already transferred £3 saved off my shopping the other day to my savings account. 'From tiny acorns, do mighty oaks grow' is what I need to remember!

Sooooooo......whats new with you guys? How is smokey?

    Have a good one

    Hello everybody,

Well it's nearly time for me to go to bed. When DH got up this morning he let Benny out but forgot to shut the door so when I got up there were red muddy paw prints throughout the house  so of course had to wash the floor & Benny again. Worst part of winter, the heavy dews. Made a batch of biscuits, cleaned out the freezer & went for my sea grass walk.

After lunch, done some sewing which isn't really turning out well. :D It's sort of gapey at the front . I suppose I could stuff some socks down my bra  but I think everyone would notice. :p Tomorrow's exciting instalment is to sew the waist band on. Might not get a chance through as I'm off to town in the morning.

    Moiliere Happy Anniversary
lindsayanne & Master Kyle Happy Birthday.
Twink I only thought Kiwi's had a funny relationship with sheep. Look's like I was wrong. :p
Blairweech Lovely to hear from you again. I'm glad it's all working out for you. Keep up the good work. :D
Ruby Just had one of those cycles last week. They are such a pain.
CM Know you are ill, so hugs to you & take it easy.

Well off to have a shower and hit the sack. Enjoy your day. I expect Lleyton to lose tonight. :D Never mind. ;) Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hello all

You seem like a lovely friendly bunch.

I'm new on this section and am keen to pick up more MS tips so hope to visit the OS board more frequently.

Although I'm feeling a little guilty about having just 'splurged' on two new suits for DH & some school shorts at M&S online following a thread on here somewhere about their current offers. Not bad at £55.60 delivered, but not particularly penny pinching either. Still, he needs to look good at work and it's a new month tomorrow. :)

So the question then becomes whether they should be a (very unromantic) gift, since hubbie & I have been together 18 years today? :smileyhea Wow, I noticed when doing 'his' shopping, that unlike me he still wears the same size clothes as when I met him at age 18! And (hence) is still gorgeous.

The weather is beautiful and I am blessed with peace in the home (which needs cleaning and tidying!) since everyone is at work or school and an opportunity to go to the gym and improve my overall wellbeing. :D

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning everyone,

No children here again today, so trying to catch up on things that i cant normally do!!!

Will be going to strim the grass in a moment, didnt get round to it yesterday, and also plant out some more carrots. Picked 3 strawberries off my plant, so we can all have one later - hopefully next year we will get a few more ripening at the same time!!

Had my weigh in last night, and was still 10 4lb, felt a bit miffed that i hadnt lost any, so a couple of hours later i weighed myself again (dont know why!) and i was exactly 10 stone!! Where those 4lb went, i dont know - i havnt weighed myself again, dont want to turn into Bridget Jones but it is so tempting!!

PP - hope all goes well in hospital xx

OH is out cutting the lawn, he hates it but it has to be done, never mind it will look good when he`s finished it.

Hi everyone - back on to thank even more people for their Happy Anniversary wishes! What a lovely bunch you are!

Pippa.S - great to see you on here and Happy Anniversary to you and Mr Pippa.S for tomorrow! 41 years - you surely can't be old enough to have been married for 41 years! Have a great day; I'm so glad you have joined us here. I love this thread!

Welcome, too, to Lunar Eclipse and Happy Anniversary to you and Mr Eclipse, too. This is the friendliest thread on the whole website as far as I am concerned and you will definitely learn a lot. The OSer's here have saved me a fortune since I joined about eighteen months ago. By the way, I talk a lot - on here they call it 'mioliering'. I can't help it, I just get carried away!

Catowen - perhaps the first time you weighed, the needle on the scale wasn't balanced properly. You must have lost the 4lb or you wouldn't have been miffed at the thought that you hadn't. Well done from me!

Beth - great to see you posting again. I'm sorry the operation wasn't a complete success; you should still find out about having the other arm done and tell the consultant that you are not happy with the result of the first op. What a worry for you that your DD may have the same condition; on the plus side, if she does need an operation, it may prevent it getting as painful as yours has. (((Hugs))) to your DBs - you have such a lot of worry, don't you? It would help if they could talk to each other. Perhaps you could phone DB1 when you are visiting DB2 and just hand the phone to him? It might be just what they both need. (((Hugs))) to you for carrying such a heavy burden with such courage.

Blairweech - I would say sorry that you and your DH have split up but it sounds as if it has been a good move for you; I do hope things work out for you.

Well, I'd better go and see how my Artisan bread dough is doing, knock down the dough from the BM and make my fruit salad baskets to take for our pudding at DS2's tonight.

    See you all later.
