You'll get just as many people say the same vise versa, thats just the way it works with industries that deal with the public.0 -

I don't think either fly transatlantic!
Singapore is great. As is Malaysian and Air NZ.0 -
The fact is, when you fly long-haul back to Britain, you are immediately greeted by the 1980s like carpets of Heathrow and funneled into possibly the worst immigrations hall in the world.
The sandwiches on the short flights just remind you of the 99p discounted sandwiches from Sainsburys...
Last time I flew BA back from Sweden, the flight was delayed 5 hours to and 2 hours back from Stockholm, without any food or drink...
At Heathrow, the BA customer services guy just told everyone to f**k themselves...
I have to agree to an extent. Heathrow (not yet seen T5) is an absolute disgrace in both appearance and, generally, efficiency. That said it is outstandingly busy.
But, particularly after flying in from somewhere like Singapore or Kuala Lumpur it looks terrible. Not a great first view of Britain.0 -
Thats true, KLIA and Changi are absolutely awesome. You could almost holiday in the terminal!

Who? And please don't say Virgin Atlantic or any US carrier!
I am guessing you have had a bad experience with these carriers therefore your opinion is not very high of them , as is the OP of BA, but again thats their opinion.
I have flewn with BA, Virgin Atlantic and many US carriers and have found no problem with them at all, obviously some better than others and BA def not being within my favourites. On numerous flights with BA I have found a lot of the flight crew unapproachable and frankly quite 'snotty'. This being on both short haul and long haul.
My preference for transatlantic would have to be Icelandair. Staff courteous, friendly and couldn't do more to assist. Again only my opinionGood manners cost nothing -Bad manners cost friends !Murphys No More Pies member #2130 -

Not a bad experience at all. My point (rasied earlier) is that there is little distinction between BA and Virgin (the main British carriers) and that the US carriers are much lower quality products.0 -

Isn't that because they are getting on with the job of flying the aircraft???0 -

:T US Carriers normally very good, continental were excellent when I used them. Agree with your Unapproachable and Snotty comments, its almost like you are causing them inconvenience by asking for something!0 -

US carriers - no seat-back inflight entertainment, paid for drinks, ancient aircraft...
Continental use 757 aircraft from regional airports that were not even designed for transatlantic flying.
What is there going for them?
No thanks.0
