B.A - British Airways - Bad Attitude.

Sadly, it's simply not true that you get the service you deserve, or that 'it reflects your attitude to the person serving you'.
Oh, if it was!
We have all had occasions where we've had appalling service despite our own polite, civilised and respectful tone and behaviour.
However I do agree with SFG, Engadine - and even Timmy(!) - in that the OP appears to have an unfortunate attitude towards the apparently over-made-up aircrew (are their cosmetics relevant?) who have quite a difficult job to do.
Dangeroussports may be only 12 years old (check his other posts if you don't believe me), but he has a point - it's only a flight! Choose another carrier next time.0 -
OP, you have such a bad attitude towards everyone. No wonder she didn't serve you. Maybe a change of attitude will change the quality of service you get.0

if im right - they are actually told what make up to wear and how to put it on. I know we was told when working on check in if your hair touched your shoulders when down you had to tie it back, make up to be worn (girls only obviously) so that it can be seen but not OTT and in the training room when i first started we was told that it would appear better if we had a tan (fake or real) and we was all given vouchers to go to the tanning salon that was inside the airports hairdressers to either go on a sun bed or have a spray tan lol0 -

The airlines I worked for never told us what make to wear but we were told the best colours of lipstick to wear (normally red) and how to apply make up. On the training courses they used to get someone from the cosmetic counters in a local department store to come in (normally Estee Lauder). Uniform, hair and make up regulations were strict and were enforced by the Purser/Cabin Supervisors:j Debt free since 31/01/08:j

Yes, we had a beauty therapist give us makeup lessons (I certainly don't need them, I've been wearing makeup since I was a young teen -albeit secretly! LOL!)
We were advised red, orange or coral lipstick. Mmm. This was the 90s.
SFG x0 -
With or without make up, I found all the flight attendants (girls only obviously)

I think in any Hotels, Cafes and Restaurants the same applies with all waiters and waitresses, you get good and bad, and they react generally to how you treat them, although not always, some can just be plainly stuck in a rut and not enjoying their job, which happens to us all from time to time.
So really it's no different in the air ? also they do have to make money by selling duty free and scratch cards so maybe you were deflecting them from their other duties, and limited time to carry them out ?0
