B.A - British Airways - Bad Attitude.

Options
B.A Have the WORST cabin crew of all the airlines! I have never known such a bunch of snooty, stuck up fools! Grrrrrrrr! Anyone else has an appauling service with B.A?

Just flew back and have to say that their over-made up light attendants are just really ill mannered, forgetful and downright RUDE!

Would you like to back up your rather extreme statements?

I would agree with that if you were talking about the BA ground staff at Heathrow - but I have always found their aircrew to be first rate.

Have flown with BA a fair few times in the last 12 months and have to say I've found the crew to be very friendly and helpful

"forgetting" to bring drinks for a 4 year old, having to be asked THREE times for water for a thirsty child. Standing !!!!!ing to each other about it - then bringing lukewarm water.

Bringing it over and handing it to the child as of the child had personally done something to her.

The Hostess was NOT busy as she claimed.

Wont be flying with them again!
  • Incidently, it took 45 mins for the water to arrive - but a group of lager swilling lads were served quite rapidly "to keep them quiet"
  • Personally, I'd rank BA right at the bottom of the league with Ryanair. A proportion of their cabin crew seem to think they're above doing the job. A few years ago, they managed to serve a friend I was flying with halal chicken instead of vegetarian food because one of their ticks had gone astray. When the mistake was (politely) pointed out, they said "well it's all we've got" and stropped off! I have to say I've found them rather better more recently, but there are still a few of the old style ones around...

As a frequent flyer I have to agree with the OP - BA are the worst airline I've ever used.

I'll never fly with them again.

Did you ask them politely and with respect? Do you think they stood moaning about your request because you asked politely or is there a chance you demanded it or upset them otherwise?

Also, asking THREE times? If it were me (especially if I had a thirsty child) I'd have asked once and then followed it up by politely asking at the galley, five minutes later. I wouldn't have made my child wait 45 minutes through my stubbornness.

What did the purser say when you complained on board?
  • I was brought up not dragged up and expect my children to have an equal amount of manners and respect for people, so yes, we asked in a polite fashion, unless "Excuse me, could we have a glass of water please" is considered rude.

These glorified waitresses in the sky have to remember that passengers have paid LOTS of money for tickets, offering a SHABBY sub standard service is not good at all!

Seems that lots of others feel the same way though.

Was told to write to customer relations if I had an "issue" - her words!

To be honest sounds no worse than any other British carrier.... and better than most US carriers.
