I was brought up not dragged up and expect my children to have an equal amount of manners and respect for people, so yes, we asked in a polite fashion, unless "Excuse me, could we have a glass of water please" is considered rude.

These glorified waitresses in the sky have to remember that passengers have paid LOTS of money for tickets, offering a SHABBY sub standard service is not good at all!

Seems that lots of others feel the same way though.

Was told to write to customer relations if I had an "issue" - her words!

If this was your attitude towards them, what did you expect?

I have to agree with Timmne, if you really needed some water it would have been no trouble for you to walk up to the galley.

Agree with that. I always wander up to the galley for my obligatory glass of wine.

Sitting there stewing seems to be an example of cutting off one's nose to spite one's face!
  • :rotfl: So instead of allowing the Air Hostess to do her job, you suggest people get up and walk to the galley to demand food and drinks? :rotfl: Thats going to work when lots of people want a drink isnt it?

The bottom line is she was asked to do something and conveniently "forgot" if she didn't want to do her job, then she should have said she didn't want to do it instead of saying yes.

If a waiter in a resturant forgot your wine, you wouldn't go to the kitchen now would you! :rotfl:

She was a bad Air hostess and put her company to shame with her bad attitude, no if's or buts.

No that wouldn't work - a friendly reminder at the galley would work though, if they forget the first time.

    She may have forgotten?

Nope - but I would go to the bar.... Duh!

    themightyjack,

Did you have the same attitude towards the attendant that you do towards posters on this thread?

No- you have paid lots of money for your ticket to be transported from A to B quickly. I guess this part of the journey was ok, as you haven't complained about it.
  • Everyone has their own way of dealing with things. In my opinion the way the Air Hostess went about doing her job was wrong. I have made my position clear and do not need to justify myself to anyone.

If you did not want people to respond, why did you post?

Judging by the way that you have spoken to people on here, it would appear that it is you that already had a negative attitude towards the attendant, and that the attendant was just trying to do her job. You seem to forget that you were not the only person on that flight, and therefore not her only responsibility.

If you expect instant service, then perhaps next time you should consider paying to travel business or first class?

It must be wonderful when you never forget anything !

I was on a BA flight when the stewardess forgot another bottle of wine for the man sitting next to me - when she realised (not reminded) she came and apologised and then gave him a paper bag containing 4 bottles !

I dont forget things at work, and I dont need to be asked the same thing three times, and on top of that I dont get surly with the people who use my company thus putting money in my pocket.

An apology from BA staff? Wow! :T
