We've just had a grotty hour of grumpiness, but a dose of medinol and an hours cuddle and back to pleasantness. I don't know if ds2 has a slightly raised temp or if it because of how hot it is. Hard to tell on a warm day.

I am going to see where i am up to, but i can't see much more being done before my sister returns with ds1. There is just over an hour but i need to psyche myself up for nephew coming to visit as she will bath him here with ds1 for me, and it will be chaos till bedtime.

Actually, i may bath ds2 now, and then he will cool down some. Sorted. Finish my cuppa first though i think.

Heavy Rain til Saturday and then its just Light Rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont think I mentioned I need no rain in order to dry my clothes as I am away this weekend with my new job.
This will be strange cuz I dont start until August but they are having a team building/yearly planning thing and invited me, which is great. It will also give me a chance to ensure its a group of folks I will work well with. It is a charity dealing with suicidal bereavement and a job I have wanted for ages so fingers crossed my clothes will be clean in order to make them think I am a competent human!

It is very good to know that there are other people out there who have experienced similar issues. I tried posting about it on a parenting forum the other week (not on MSE) and had no response at all :(
This is one of the most supportive threads i've ever come across, there is a wealth of experience in all things child related.
There are a number of us who have children with problems (sorry i hate to use that word but couldnt think of a better one:o ), its nice to be able to relate to other people with similar issues.

not being a fan of parenting forums (I think 99% of the people that use them have mental health issues... lol) That doesn't surprise me.. noone wants to say anything for fear of saying something that will make evryone else jump on them... so they say nothing. 95% of the time the OP is either forgotten in the fracas which follows or they are stripped to pieces... see.. gripes!

I like it here.. we do say but it is all from our personal experience take from that what you will!

Germish.. my Aspergers son is the easy one!! The one with no diagnosis or obvious issues is the one who drives everyone insane!! I don't think boys are easy on the best of days!

Can I agree? Mine is being a complete toad - latest incident he's broken his car seat - I'm so totally unimpressed. He's lovely for everyone else but me - can't tell me why.

Is it too early for a glass of something?

That's good that your family accept him. I feel I'm constantly defending DS from the family. They wind him up and get him over excited, pack him full of crap and then shout at him when he lashes out. I keep explaining that you can't give him a row when he's that high because by that time he's lost all control, but they seem to think he needs punished.

The nursery asked me just over a month ago if there was something going on at home as he had been loud and hyper, but that was the week before we went to Disneyland so I'm sure that's what it was as they've never said anything before and haven't since.

The hv knows all the history re DS, but she never mentioned anything about this possibly being linked to his brain and I didn't bring it up. Do you think I should say something next week?

I'm confusing myself the more I think about it though, I keep wondering
    1. Am I over reacting and seeing something that isn't there because of the history? or
    2. Am I playing it down for fear of there actually being something wrong with him?
And I honestly don't know which one it is. Family members have commented on his behaviour before and my sister (who is a nursery teacher) has commented "he has serious anger issues" countless times and yet when I mentioned that I had the hv coming over to discuss it none of them understood why?!?

It's good to know how long I'm looking at though, so thanks for that. I'm guessing that the 2 years is an average? Therefore it could still be much longer?

I don't have friends.. they require time and I have none to give! The amily accept him for who he is and if he starts getting difficult at family gatherings (which we are NEVER invited to!) I bring him home.. immediately... no questions asked just coat and home.
