Evening everyone.
Michelle- hope you little DS is feeling brighter and happier this evening after his jabs.
cookie- everyone here is so supportive and full of lots of very useful information
germish- you must be very proud of your son raising all that money for charity.
I'm a creature of habit too like lil_me and FrankieM and I stuck to doing the lounge today too. Still haven't vac'd the floor or furniture but will do that shortly.
Took another 5 items to the charity shop today after my latest declutter of our bedroom at the weekend. I reckon that room is pretty much done now.
DH rescued a ladies bike out of a neighbour's skip the other day, after checking it was ok first, and he has just readjusted the seat to a comfortable height for me. I'm going to be 40 in 3 weeks and the last time I rode a bike I was about 10, it'll be entertaining watching me wobble up the road on my trial ride! Germolene and plasters at the ready!:rotfl:...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

It was really hot and sunny here today, and the children were all lying around in heaps panting - it was way too hot for them to have the energy to mess me about!
I have done no flying today either - much more of this and pigpen will be throwing me off the thread altogether...:o Unless you count two lots of washing, removing some clutter from the sittingroom, and doing the washing up after dinner.
cookie - trust your maternal instincts. Sensible medical people listen very carefully to mothers who have concerns. How about keeping a diary? It may help highlight a pattern. It isn't directly connected, but DS1 had encephalitis two and half years ago. Fortunately, he is making a good recovery, but in that time I have done a bit of amateur research. Depending on the amount and location of damage to the brain, certain problems may result, and some of these do not become apparent for years. For example, damage to one area of the brain may cause anger management problems, and another may cause problems with what are called executive skills - prioritising, organising etc. This area of the brain normally develops from mid teenage years to early adulthood, so if the damage was done in early childhood, then it may not appear to be related to the original episode, unless someone remembers and makes the connection. I know this isn't the same as your experience, but I think it is well worth asking for a referral for further investigation.
I'm the sort of person who always wants to know the most I can. It doesn't make any difference what words are used to describe your child, he's still the son you love to bits, but if you learned something that may help you help him to manage and mature...okay, I'm wittering on here! You are very welcome to pm me too!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Kids finally all in their own rooms and settled for the minute.
DS3 being a right handful, he is itching like mad - pollen count high - I expect so is understandably a tad irritable to put it mildly!
Another day of zero flying achieved here and I just can't be doing with it now. Tomorrow will be my last day of invigilating for the summer so I'll catchup on Thursday.
I've downed my Pimms in record time tonight.
Cookie how good is DS speech? Often anger can simply be because a child cannot express their emotions sufficiently. DS1 has always had really strong emotions, mainy due to lack of self confidence. When he was younger he would lash out if he was embarassed - say he missed a ball at tennis, he would blame everyone around him and push other children all because he felt self conscious.
Right I am off to check some ISA rates. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Evening everyone.
Been to work today so not a lot of flying done. I did do the bathroom this morning before going to work.
Took one of the clients swimming. Its a private pool and we have it for an hour. She cant swim herself but enjoyed using the supports and us taking her round the pool. It was nice to see her so relaxed instead of the usual self harming.
Hugs to you all cos I think you all deserve one.
Im off now to have a quick cuppa then fall into bed.0 -
The boys are sleeping... for now... and I'm on the verge of falling asleep so I'm off to bed. Got everything but the extras and the vacuuming done today. Will catch up after a good nights sleep (I hope)

Pigpen - You sound amazing!!! Everything you do and your attitude towards everything and you still have time to help us try and get a little more organisation in our lives with this thread, plus lend us your ear and offer us endless advice. I wish I could be like you. I worry far too much about what people think and about hurting other people's feelings. I wish I has the gutts to just up and leave when in-laws start. And thank you, it really helps to know there are people there to talk to.
See Pigpen - I'm not the only one who thinks you are an amazing person:beer:

evening chatty ladies
not managed to fly apart from S&S in kitchen, have made tomorrow's lunches though.
Our recycling wasn't collected AGAIN so i'll have to phone the council AGAIN they are useless. we still don't have our wheelie bin either and have been here since Jan. grrrr.... i might stop paying the council tax until we get it. All we're paying for seems to be the bl**dy olympics!!!
Had a frustrating day at work, over 5 hours travelling as I had to do a talk miles from the office, and the dlr trains which i usually get are not working properly for the next 2 months. so total chaosHave a long to do list for work tomorrow so hopefully i'll get most of it done.
Other thing i must do tomorrow is post/package ebay stuff. Can't post easily as its all quite big so can't take it to work and i go and come back outside of opening hours - is it acceptable to leave it til sat when it sold sunday night? guess i could message the sellers!
right, am gonna drink my tea and look through my new nigella book and drag DH out of the study (he's studying for accountancy exams, really admire the way he can just get on with it - i'd be far too distracted!)Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
