In contract with Flogas and have an order of about 1,500 litres on my account showing since mid January. Been with Flogas for about 5 years now and tank has never gone as low as it is currently. I have messaged them but had no response (yet). Before I get on the phone to them does anyone know of any shortages or problems at Flogas, i've read on this thread that they are prioritising those that have run out 😢. Hope this is not the case as we regularly have very young and very old people stay with us. I am in East Sussex by the way. Thanks
ps - tank was showing 12% yesterday1 -
I think i've been stitched right up with Flogas, we are into a 3 year contract 55ppl for first year, now at 62ppl, plus a 41p per day standing charge. Sounds like my renewal was just at the wrong time
I used LPG save, but Flogas directly wanted 87ppl at that time (Jan 2023)
Its costing us a fortune, and they seem to be allowing us to get to 2 or 3% before refilling.

3 year - doesn’t sound right should be 2 year? - suggestion read the signed contract if 3 yr should be able to exit after 2 no penalties….(2025) Back to price - worth speaking to them and politely explain 87ppl is not the market price and you feeling overpriced as a customer. (You can only try) - if none of this works then you are left with what you have got - but of course when renewal comes leave with maximum 25% fill and let your new negotiated supplier fill at lower rates…1 -

Its costing us a fortune, and they seem to be allowing us to get to 2 or 3% before refilling.I think you are right, at the beginning of 2023 what with Ukraine etc, prices went right up. Could be worse, we see higher prices quoted often enough.Ring Flogas, ask to speak to the Sales Manager; tell him it is out of kilter with today's market and please will they do something about that? As a minimum they may unwind the last increase. The standing charge is also high (I am paying 16.4p/day, also with Flogas) but probably they won't shift that.I ordered some gas this very morning .. go online, place an order, simples .. delivery promised by 21 March latest (but we shall see!) - don't leave it to them to make all the arrangements, they will do it when best for them not when best for you.I agree that a 3 year contract is very unusual, sit and read through it carefully .. for all you know the last increase breached the contract, which if so would free you to go elsewhereGood luck and keep us posted!
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..1 -
3 year agreement might be commercial?

Hi All, first post here so take it easy on me
I have just come out of a two year contract with Avanti and wonder what your thoughts are about entering straight into another fix as it seems as though energy costs are predicted to drop and my usage will start to tail off significantly as the warmer weather (hopefully) arrives. Do you think it is worth holding out a few months to see if the market becomes more favourable?
Thanks

Other half and I moved into a new place at the end of last year and, well, didn't do enough shopping around and got nailed with a two year contract at 88p/l for two years.
Naivete on our part for not realizing how things work with bulk LPG always having been on mains gas.
An expensive lesson but one im sure we won't forget.0 -

Whereabouts are you?It might not be too late to do something about it...First off, I recommend you phone flogas and ask to speak to the Manager in charge of sales. Tell them you seem to have got saddled with a bad contract because everyone else seems to be paying 50p/l or less. Be very polite but very persistent, if they say no ask them why, tell them you want to write it all down to pass on to online community, that sort of thing... ask them to quote the wholesale price ex refinery (currently c26p). I predict (and hope) they will offer some sort of concession.I assume you have signed a written contract, that sets out the price clearly? Is it truly a 2 year term, or a 12 months and then different for year 2 term?If you don't get anywhere, at that price it is worth working out the cost of breaking the contract. Read it, carefully ..I suppose you don't have a friend who is a qualified solicitor? Getting a third party to phone and quote the unfair contract terms act to them may work too..Keep us posted! If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..1
