They vary .. but if you look at the contract you have, under pricing, it will be easy to spot.. do your homework..If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0

Just coming to the end of 2 year contract with Flogas. Currently 35.5p +
VAT. 1400L usage. Can stay with them at 35.5p variable, which will no doubt rise as soon as 2 years is up but they will advise me prior. Or offered 2 year contract fixed at 35.5p for 12 months then capped at max 12p increase for year 2. I think that 12p increase is too much to agree to - its about 30% rise!
They asked if I'd had any other quotes (hadn't) and said to get back to them if I found a better offer!
As tank is low, will be getting a top up soon, so will probably get it filled up now before contract end and then look again after Christmas when I know their new variable prices.0 -
Woldlink monthly pricing confirmed at 30.87ppl + 5% VAT, down slightly from 32.61ppl in October0

This isn't available to new customers, only those that have been on the variable tariff since about 2014/15 time.0 -
Ah! that's unusual in that a company is rewarding there customers for loyalty. "Well done Woldlink".0

I have had a letter from Avanti, stating that now the 12 month fixed period has expired they are increasing the price by 7.15p/l (from 32.9p/l).
The contract states a maximum increase of 3p in any six month period. However it has the usual get-out clause about underlying increases in the wholesale cost of gas
I will object, and see what happens ...
Did you get a reply from Avanti? I've just signed up for a fixed for 12 months deal at 31p + max 3p in 6 months afterwards.
First time with Avanti from Calor, so hoping I don't get the same as you at the end of the fixed deal!0 -

Good luck! Make sure your tank is full after the 12 months is up, put a note in the diary..
I've had no reply .. not a dickybird. Will give them another day or two, then phoneIf what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 -
now have a reply from Avanti complaints department (both dates are wrong):
We write in response to the complaint raised on the 29th November, following receipt of your letter dated 29th October in which you have raised concerns regarding the recent price increase applied to your AvantiGas account.
The recent price increase breakdown is explained as follows:- 3 pence per litre in line with Clause 6.4(b) of our Terms and Conditions relating to our Operational Costs.
Our operational costs can be described as our running costs; for example, transport costs, diesel, delivery fleet maintenance, health & safety compliance & staffing, which have increased as we have increased our fleet, staffing etc., in preparation for the harsh winter months. - The remainder of the increase is due to the £ to $ exchange rate and is applied under Clause 6.4(a) of the Terms and Conditions.
The £ to $ exchange rate has not been in our favour and over the last 12 months it has negatively affected our costs. The LPG market is a dollar market and it has reached a point where we have had to pass on a portion of the increases we have seen.
We hope you feel the above action is a satisfactory conclusion to your enquiry."
.. I have told them I won't pursue matters further, even though they have provided no information to back up the proposed increase. I also said I will look forward to their price reducing again, once the "harsh winter months" are over ...
In my opinion, there is no way for the consumer to have a decent relationship with any of the large lpg suppliers, unless you are able to negotiate a full two year price fix. I will work hard to get this next time..If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 - 3 pence per litre in line with Clause 6.4(b) of our Terms and Conditions relating to our Operational Costs.

I sent out a message on this forum at the end of August this year, looking to switch suppliers. I was quoted a very good deal with Flogas so went ahead with it. This was at the start of September. I’ve had nothing but problems since then.
First they turn around saying I can’t switch because my tank was to old. I then had a new tank installed in the exact location as the old one. I gave them notice that I had a new tank installed. They then told me I couldn’t switch because there wasn’t enough distance between the tank and garden wall for them to go ahead with the switch. I just feel I’ve been given the runaround for the past 2 month and a half. Anyone else had the same issue with switching suppliers? It looks like I have to stick with Calor and pay more than I should.0
