Bulk LPG - Cheapest suppliers / supply route?

Avanti LPG seem to be the cheapest at the moment @28p lt
Not sure what the rules are on taking an old contract on from the previous owner. I might be wrong, but would of thought you could go with who you want.
Best bet is to phone a new supply & see what their take is on your situation as Calor would rather keep you. Have a look at this page for some up to date prices.

Be very wary of Avanti Gas - I wouldn't touch them again with a barge pole. See my post 2831 above.
I have just asked Woldlink for a price. Anyone know what they are currently charging? I know they adjust their prices every 6 months with the next one due 1 April but they appear to be the most consistently cheap and honest of the suppliers.0 -
The price for March is advised @ 30.54ppl +5% VAT, a tiny decrease of 0.05ppl from the Febuary level of 30.59ppl.0

Thanks for that bobmac62. Inevitably it will increase April but I bet it won't be near Avanti Gas' rip off current price of 43ppl + vat.0

Thank you for the graph.0

Woldlink have advised their 6 month fix price as 36.95p, up 9.1p from the price set last October of 27.85p. However according to the excellent graph above the base price has gone up a similar amount so I am still happy with Woldlink ... especially so since I can still fill up the tank at the old price til the end of the month! If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0

Thanks for that. I'm just about to change to them, so that's useful. It's a lot better that the 43p that Avanti Gas are currently ripping me off with and of course that will probably go up on renewal.
Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if they offer me a sweetener to and keep me, however I wouldn't stay with them if they paid me to take their gas.
What I like about Woldlink is the fact that they are totally transparent with their prices and everyone pays the same, the only supplier I am aware of to do so. All the others seem to work on the principle of divide and rule.0 -
May be worth giving Jgas (Johnstone Fuels) a call if you're in their supply area. I'm nearing the end of a two year variable contract with them and had a refill last week at 34.5ppl. I was paying 28ppl a year ago.
Their coverage is fairly wide and last year they took over LimaGas on the south coast.
