Lots of people on the thread have deliveries and find they really help. Money off coupons for certain spends can be found on the discount, vouchers thread.
Whoopsie hunting is great fun if you are close, have the time, a flexible menu planner and don't rely on an item being reduced (when you need it, it never is).
I can't really help about the biscuits being cheaper but the twink hobknobs everyone raves about are on angelnikki's menu list on the first page, just click on the name and the recipe appears.

    Angelnikki - great minds eh!

Hi SFT and thanks for the advice - I amreally close to asda but always get sidetracked into buying loads of extras when i go in so an online shop might be the trick - both asda and tesco deliver to me so I can get from both especially if I can get free delivery but I thought that only worked for orders over £50?

will go and check out the discounts thread!

    Hi everyone:hello:
I'm declaring at £204.38 - A little over but not too bad really

Thanks to Angelnikki and MrsM for keeping us all in line and to all of you who have been my lifeline recently. I hope to have a good start to August as I have a week off next week so I am going to spend a few days trying to get organised.

See you all over on the August thread:j
  • Keep coming here and doing the challenge even after you think you have it sussed.I was doing great, started off at about £400 a month and got it way down to under £200,even did it for about £120 if I remember rightly the last month I posted here.
well I thought I could manage without the challenge but I cant.Shopping bills back up to silly amount and hubby doing shopping and not even able to give me a rough idea of the totals.
I need this place so I have come back with my tail between my legs,my purse empty and my bank balance in a mess again because I have not been watching the pennies so closely as I ought to.I have started to buy things we dont need because I want it or else feel I deserve it,things like wine and boursin. The old bad habits are returning and I thought I had better return here and get myself back on the straight and narrow.
I wont even hazard a guess at my July spend,I really dont know.I will join the challenge again for August with a £200 budget.

    Hey everyone,
I kinda messed up the challenge on my first month as I forgot that I have the summer off work and will be staying with my parents, friend's house before her wedding and going on holiday to Paris. So... I don;t think I will be going over my target but it does kinda involve cheating (lots of free food at other people's houses ;)) so not sure my spends can count. I am on beach mission for two weeks from Friday and all food is provided so that will mess up August so I will be reading along with how you guys are doing but will join again in September I think. Have a fab summer everyone! :)

Well I am declaring at £358.62 for July I don't really know what happened to be honest. Think i brought some clothes etc while shopping which increase the spend. Nesxt month i am on not buying any clothes/not including them on grocery spend.

Just looked at the August challenge and there are already 8 pages.

Well Done to everyone who stayed in budget.

Still went over budget this month - although on a positive note I did manage 3 NSD:rolleyes: . Not even sure what the total was but definitely well over £400:eek: (just got totally out of control and stopped counting)

So please can I be put down for £300 again next month, and I will try harder!:o
