Day 5 of my NSDs in a row :T ... think its safe to say "i have my NSD bug back" :D

Hubby has left for work with a cheese salad baguette and a half flask of hm soup (just in case its cold) and a plain baguette to dunk in it..eughhhhh dirty dirty thing..dunking :o ..... I have 3 baguettes left from those i made yesterday -so will wedge them in the freezer later...

He is on duty tomorrow -covering for the guy who covered for his duty whilst we were back in the UK, so he has decided to eat in the cook house -because it is now free again if you are on duty  .... I have told him i don't mind packing his meals, but as they are free -he is insisting on having them in the cookhouse:rotfl: which saves a few more pennies but will no doubt result in an upset stomach as always

Last nights tray roast thingy was lovely and used up lots of odds n sods :T and tonight it is jacket potato with cottage cheese and salad.. a fave with both of us -so that takes very little sorting out....

The fridge/freezers are still fit to burst -so im determined to make it to at least friday without spending -then it should only be fruit i need... we will be going to the NAFFI though so i will keep an eye out "just in case :p " they will have to be super bargains though as i really don't need anything much to get me through August apart from fruit and a bit of veg-so i must stay strong :rotfl: ... they have spirits on at buy 2 get 1 free.... so hubby is getting some whiskey -not out of the GC money but his own ;) ... it means he will be getting 1lt bottles of glenfiddich for £15 a bottle  :T

I managed to get the lawn cut yesterday, so im going to sit and knit/x stitch today :D ...

right i will get off..have a great day evertone and hugs to anyone in need:D

Yesterdays was a NSD Day! Yay! Went to the gym straight after works and didn't venture near any shops. Tea tonight will be Spag bol, with left overs for lunch tomorrow and the freezer. Today may or may not be a NSD - I have asked hubby if he needs to stop for petrol can he make it Mr M and pop in and get milk and 2 more packs of 50p cheese.

    Disdisbiff - I'm so jealous.

  • Good Morning everyone
Bit of a dilemma, my new week starts Friday but I have no bread and no potatoes. Do I try and hold out or do I shop as I have already blown the budget this month? Bread - needed for OH sarnies but I could make him salads for the next 2 days. Have beans in fridge to use up (kidney and chick peas) was going to make burgers but DS will want potates with those. Have some of Mr T 8p noodles teens can have for their lunch. Need to go to Mr T for a prescription. Should I hold out?

    Morning!
OH has decided that he wants fajitas for tea tonight and so I popped in to Mr S on the way home from work yesterday and managed to spend £5.50. I only bought some chicken, an onion, a pepper and some salsa and soured cream - £5.30! Oh well, at least I had the tortillas and fajita mix in the cupboard!

I rejoined Slimming World last night (feeling decidedly podgy after my hols) and am trying to get back into the swing of it all. The weigh in wasn't as bad as I'd expected and I only want to lose a stone at most (10lbs would be acceptable) but I'm trying to nip it in the bud before more weight goes on.
So, after the fajita episode tonight (mine will just be veggie ones and I'm going to try to only have 2) I'm making a massive vat of veggie chilli tomorrow that will last a few teas and maybe a lunch or two. Its all from "free foods" too so diet wise it should be good and purse wise its fine as I have all of the stuff in.

I'll update the sig in a minute but I think I'm down to just over a tenner left for next week (I'm away for the weekend) until Aug 1st I have plenty of food in and will only need milk and fruit for the week so I should hopefully make it (just)!

    Have a good day!

    Morning all,

So hard to keep up with all the posts! Hope everyone is healthy and happy and hugs for anyone who's not!

I was hoping to get to the end of the week without spending. I've still got a little left in the budget but I am trying:D to be good. But I have nothing to eat for lunch so it looks like I'm going to have to!

I did get rather motivated and decide to use up some old bananas and made banana bread/cake v. late last night..I make it quite alot but this batch isn't my fave..far too wet for my liking and it didn't rise as much as usual.

And on another baking note does anyone have any ideas on something to add to cheese and courgette scones to make them a bit more interesting?? I made some the other day but they were quite bland and I don't know what I should add...?

    Have a good day everyone!:D
    GC July £110/£97.21 already spent:rolleyes:

    GC August £100/£87.98 already spent:eek:
