    Hello NannyOgg,

I make yoghourt, and often have too much! I use it in curries, as a sauce with a teaspoon of ground cumin mixed in (or mint, lemon juice, mango chutney) to put on top of roast veg and brown rice (yummy with the cumin version).

Also, frozen yoghourt. Use a machine if you have one, or whip it up with a blender or handwhisk, add fruit puree, mashed banana, honey, maple syrup, anything really, and freeze. Take out and beat every couple of hours for first day.

Also yoghourt cake - look on the recipe threads, its there somewhere.

Thanks Hollysan :T I was sure I'd seen something on yoghurt cake but search drew a blank... will go back and try again. Sauce is a good notion too - although OH won't touch cumin, so will have to stick to alternatives... thanks again! :T

Just had delivery from butcher, so have updated sig. Will probably need a few bits of F&V too before I get my order from MrT later in the week, but so far total spent is looking good

    Have a good weekend peeps!

Hiya hollysan, Lidl's is directly behind our house so shop there alot and am finding the prices change for the worse all the time. noticed on TV they said that Lidl's are picking up loads of A class shoppers from other supermarkets, but if they don't watch their currant greed of milking this fact, their extra customers and excisting ones will go else where:mad:

    Hi
I've just been to Lidl too as part of shopping trip , their prices are going up for some things and they seem to be getting a load of branded goods in that they didn't use to.
Have found thier sunflower spread has gone from 35p 3 weeks ago to 57p this week!!
BUT DID FIND A BARGAIN!!! 300ml finale sport shower gel 13p !!!!:j
Smelt it and it smells fine, so bought 6 - OH has a shower every day, so will decant into one of his empty bottles and see what he thinks.
Will update sig later as still working out what I spent. (Also bought 2 Xmas pressies in Debenhams- all Fifi Flowertots stuff reduced and pressie for new niece or nephew due later in the year

Have updated sig and spent £32.09. off to make sphag bol for tea with garlic bread, make twinks, and finish blitzing the house and do the ironing, before a well earned large glass of the old vino!! Out to brother and sister in laws for tea tomorrow so no cooking day tomorrow!!!!:T

  • I didn't make it to Aldi, I realised I had lots of coupons that needed spending and I also needed some weetabix and shredded wheat so detoured to Asda. So I've added to my pin money total and updated my grocery spend. Feeling quite chuffed with myself now.

A pensioner behind me in the queue asked me if I always used vouchers in Asda - she hadn't realised she could use them against her shopping without buying the product. She said she was going straight home to get all the magazines and papers out of the recycling bin to see what coupons she could find.
