Hi
Went to Mr T last night for minimum spend shop as way over last week. F&V, bread and milk. When I checked the list a pot of nat yoghurt (78p) had been charged as a ladies scarf 4.00. Couldn't believe it. I usually watch the prices as goods are being scanned but this was one of the first and so missed it. Had to go the customer services and guess what - it scanned correctly for her. Thank goodness we only done a small shop so easy to check. Got a refund but was very embarrassed. Total spend 18.50.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

I,m not doing well at eating my frozen stuff, so I,ll have to stop buying altogether. I double booked myself M/Sing today so lunch is pizza and dinner is Chicken ceasar salad, wish I hadn't had breakfast now. Spent £2.50 on a HUGE breafast yesterday at work, will have to get a grip on that, slipping into my old ways and REALLY cant afford it this month. I have to think what I can carry half a pizza in as I know I wont be able to eat it all.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

Park in the open section (not multistorey) by Argos. Go in, head straight for Poundland. After that EVERYTHING seems expensive in other shops so you don't really want to buy it. Then go to the Works, H+M, Primark, up to Paperchase (sigh), Boots and WHSmith reduced section and a squirt of free perfume... and out to the car. All at the same end, all in easy reach of the exit...
I'm in Sheffield as well
I do similar plan to parking as you:D .
i tend to park up near boots though.
Mid week is best. I never go on a weekend unless its really needed.
Popped to MR T this morning after dropping OH off at work.
Was there really early and the shop was busy.
Mind you they only had the self service checkouts open and one manned checkout.
Total spend £66.32.
Fridge and freezer fit to burst, this should last til next weekend at the earliest.
Have lost track of how many NSD we had but there were a few.'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle'0 -

Got a great 5' tall freezer tonight with 6 draws off freecycle - really pleased as once I've cleaned it up and switched it on, I can put all my home cooked lovelies in there (got to cook them yet though!) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good weekend, may not be on here much as loads to do this weekend if we can fit it all in... Have a good one... x
Hiya den, that's what I want to do to, but don't know where freecycle is, that's a great idea, I was going to look in the local paper but your idea is more mse. My freezer needs defrosting but I keep filling it with HM things doh:rotfl: :rotfl:lost 3stin 4mnths GC nov£90/£51.65 July£100/£97.67 Aug£90/£18.59LBM Nov05 Loan £4910.65 Paid April07 sealed pot challenge#256Nov06 CC £2,590.56 Paid aug07 + Savings07/08 Night Owl 22#Mortgage £87,000/£84,000/ £82,261.00/£81,785.30 £80,268/£75402.00/£71229.15 DFW NERD 987 Long Haul member 125 debt free 24th aug 070 -
Thanks for the welcome everyone and the advice. I've put my meal plan together and planned in double cooking for the freezer. I'm going to try the weetabix cake - one for us and one for the vicarage garden party tomorrow. Lessons on cooking start tonight for hubby who will learn how to make chicken balti curry. Off to Aldi now.Books - the original virtual reality.

Good morning to everyone...Actually it is drizzly and grey here. Oh well....
I have been totting up my spends for the week and have just updated my sig. I went to Lidl yesterday - I go about once every three months and stock up on things like apple juice and their red peppers in a jar. I also got some crocs (pretend) for the children - £3 a pair. They are thrilled with them, and they will do nicely for camping (yes, we will take wellies as well!)
I noticed a big change from the last time I went (actually, probably back in Feb/Mar time) - even Lidl's prices have gone up! I spent £53, which is way more than I've ever managed to spend in there before, despite my best efforts!:rotfl:
Have now realised that I don't actually have much money left in my budget for the rest of the month, so will have to rein in a bit.
Have a good week,everyone.
Hollysan
Hiya hollysan, Lidl's is directly behind our house so shop there alot and am finding the prices change for the worse all the time. noticed on TV they said that Lidl's are picking up loads of A class shoppers from other supermarkets, but if they don't watch their currant greed of milking this fact, their extra customers and excisting ones will go else where:mad:lost 3stin 4mnths GC nov£90/£51.65 July£100/£97.67 Aug£90/£18.59LBM Nov05 Loan £4910.65 Paid April07 sealed pot challenge#256Nov06 CC £2,590.56 Paid aug07 + Savings07/08 Night Owl 22#Mortgage £87,000/£84,000/ £82,261.00/£81,785.30 £80,268/£75402.00/£71229.15 DFW NERD 987 Long Haul member 125 debt free 24th aug 070 -
