Well, I've reduced our spending on bills/mortgage/phones as much as I can and my next step is to reduce the food bills. So I'm here to join the challenge. I have always cooked from scratch the problem has been when I've come home from work shattered and as no-one else cooks in our house  we end up with take aways. No More!

I've got OH on board as he wants to be a mortgage free asap. I've created a meal plan, the chicken for tomorrow night's HM Indian is defrosting as I write and tomorrow I am checking out the cupboards and the freezer to create a list. Then I am off to Aldi for any items I need.

Cooking lessons for OH and two DD's begin this week. Each of them is going to learn how to cook three dishes so that they can each do the cooking on one night a week.

Wish me luck and any advice you can offer will be gratefully received.

Well done on reducing bills etc that's fantastic, their a great bunch on here, just keep reading and you'll pick up tons of tips:j

Seeing as I'm chocolate obssessed, I see KAAT_LADY as a kit kat, Zoe is a cat, MrsM is a character from Charles Dickens, kind of like Mrs Miggins from Blackadder, AngelNicki is obviously an angel, but angelatgraceland is elvis with an angel fluttering at his shoulder, Sunny Donny is a container of Sunny Delight and Blairweetch is a scary tree, like in Snow White when she gets lost in the woods (sorry!!). I have a vivid imagination!!
    thanks,that means i get 9lives then,yay me:T
hey HWGA hope KIKA doesnt find out im a cat:eek: wot with her pliers and all:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi Kaat Lady - didn't you know it isn't Meadowhall - it's MEADOWHELL!!!!

I went in on the bus once... hate shopping there....

I work in Rotherham and live in Sheffield so drive past every day. I know what you mean about the place but there is a knack. Park in the open section (not multistorey) by Argos. Go in, head straight for Poundland. After that EVERYTHING seems expensive in other shops so you don't really want to buy it. Then go to the Works, H+M, Primark, up to Paperchase (sigh), Boots and WHSmith reduced section and a squirt of free perfume... and out to the car. All at the same end, all in easy reach of the exit...
God is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day

Just a quick pop in from me, spend £76.79 so far, trying to keep the spending down and get that freezer completely empty, which it still isn't. Save what I can to be able to have more time away in the hols.

Hope you are all ok and doing well x
One day I might be more organised...........
