OMG yum, yum yum!!! The strawberry muffins are yummy,...Waiting for them to cool, so I can test one, wondering if I should freeze some of them, never froze homemade muffins before, do they come out okay when you defrost them?

    Hi Herby

I always freeze muffins cos they go off really quickly if you dont. When I want one I just nuke it in the microwave for 10 seconds from frozen and then it tastes just like freshly baked ;) yummy :p HTH

I managed a NSD :j:j:j Big help is that DD is now in her pyjamas and its teaming down with rain so we're not going anywhere :D Also just rustled up a "lasagne" using pancakes instead of lasagne sheets and included in the sauce is alot of veg that DD refuse to eat (thanks to Ex being a picky eater and not eating them so she refuses to  ) blitzed up with a jar of passata and there's plenty of the sauce mix left over to make more meals :D:T:T

Can you believe this weather? thought summer was here! It should've been sports day today for DS2, surprise, surprise it was cancelled. They didn't get to have one last year either. They did have a back up day for next week, but now the school is shut due to striking. The only consolation is I was able to go into work instead of having the day as a holiday, next week though I need 3 days off. I feel guilty asking for the time off but my kids are important and I don't get much family support looking after them. I dread this time of year, during the school hols I do cut down to 3 days, which is nice, but I feel so guilty at work.
I would love a job which fits in with school hols but they seem to be few and far between, would love to stay home but OH only brings home £250/wk and that doesn't go very far does it.
Sorry for rambling, feel like a moan today.

    Hugs for MrsM.

Just caught up and its taken me hours (in between seeing to DD1 2 years old and DD2 11 weeks). Its funny when one starts playing up the other usually follows!

I realised at 4am today that this month I have included baby milk and nappies in my GC total which I havent done before so now and wondering whether to take them off or leave them on hmmmm.

Spent £41 in MrS yesterday and now I cant put anything else in my freezers! They have skinless chicken breast £5.99 on BOGOF, Extra Mature cheese (500g each) £4.09 BOGOF and 2 packs of mince beef (500g each) for £4.50. This means that I shouldnt need any meat in the August GC and the cheese will last me a month or so as well.

My month finishes next weekend and if I dont count the nappies etc then I will be under and if I do count the nappies etc then I should be either bang on target or just over.

Angelnikki I have quite a few bits and pieces from the Supercook range (flowers, pink and white icing) if you need them for something and cant get them. I bought them for DD1's birthday cake but it went a little wrong so changed the design!

I hate this weather too at the moment (good for the garden and my veggies mind) as it means that we are stuck in the house more than I would like.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

Aww thanks :A I've put them on my MrT order for next week so fingers x'd that I can get some. It will help me lose weight (or stop me putting on more :o ) not to have them anyway so prob a good thing they were out of stock.

KAAT_LADY I got a Beko Frost Free Fridge Freezer five years ago and its FAB :) Its never needed to be defrosted and doesnt even have a tiny build up of frost. I made sure when I got it that I got one with a decent size freezer (this one has 100 Litres freezer volume) and a smaller fridge as thats what we use/need. I think it was about £200/£300 but that was 5yrs ago. The whirlpool ones have such huuuge fridges (200/300Litres) and tiny freezers which aren't much use for O/S IMO

Edit: oooh over 6000 thanks!!! you guys are so friendly :grinheart :grinheart

Well did not manage the nsd, but thought i might fail. went to Mr T with a friend and bought some flour for more artisan bread, chickpeas as i am making myself like houmous, but only my own!
Also bogof robinsons fruit and barley, the one i drink gallons of!
Some new potatoes for 50p, two avocados 49p each, and then a tin of low fat rice pudding as my treat after the chili i have made for tea.

Oh well, still shouldn't need much else, do really need olive oil, but am holding out for a lidl or aldi trip!

Thanks for the support, it is helping me get through this lull while my knees heal, just annoyed they are making me wait for phsyio, having told me i will get urgent physio?

    Thanks
