Just won a fiver on the scratchies so I've been able to cash out. Another tenner thrown at the card.

Got our bedding in the washer and its a glorious day so it will get line dried. Looking forward to bed already!

Going to work shortly then off to the local Spring bank fair.

Finally managed to get the Avon delivered. Not many orders this time. I need to get the order placed this week ready for delivery next week.

Washing in and bedding going back on bed. Not managed to get any gardening done. Did have a little siesta this afternoon as I couldn't keep my eyes open.

Cooked a gammon joint in the slow cooker. It was lovely served with new potatoes, carrots, broccoli and a cheese sauce. Enough left for a few extra meals so probably going to make a ham and mushroom pie.

Children have been to a friends today whilst I was at work. My friend has given me loads of leeks and I'm feeling rather smug because I've managed to get them all planted. I have nearly filled two veg beds.

Off tomorrow, so going up to the horses. Got the vet due to call this week for teeth and jabs and then they are going to be moved. Quite excited about having them nearer to home.

Great, your light is on! Lucielle, do you have a recipe for a really nice chocolate cake? It's my DS's birthday tomorrow, he's having two parties (one for family, one for friends) and I need to make a cake for each. Chocolate is the only kind he likes. If you've got any tips, I'll be dead grateful.

Glad to hear the horses are moving! Will they be close enough to see every day?

Seaxwyn, sorry I've missed you, had to dash as was in work early. I have a fantastic recipe for a hedgehog cake. You can just make a normal chocolate cake and then use this as topping. Probably too late now.

The vet has been to the horses, they have had their laughing tackle sorted and the youngster has had his jab. Tomorrow is moving day for them. Feeling slightly nervous as they don't load well. I know mine will revert back to git mode and I am just going to have to be firm with him.

Car is laden down with horsey paraphernalia and stinks to high heaven but it will be out in the morning. Paid over £100 off the debts. Every little helps. 11th June is update time. Will have to get number crunching.

Well as the song goes the boys are back in town. Horses moved and have behaved overnight. I was awake at three this morning for a couple of hours but did finally mange to get back to sleep.

Everyone came to give the old boy breakfast and I managed to keep mine away from scoffing the lot. Not sure I'll manage that as he will know what's coming tomorrow. Later on in the week I'll start to bring them in so they will get used to the stables and be ok for when the farrier comes. Which I will put on the to do list as mine only has 3 shoes on and the old boy needs his tidying up.

Got my tomatoes planted out yesterday and strimmed round the edges today, will mow the lawn later on.

Ordered the Avon which will arrive on Thursday so hope to get that delivered over next weekend.

DD2 has a teacher training day tomorrow. I think we are going to go to the cash and carry. Later I will sit down and get some prices off Asda. The grocery budget is where I have problems with, so hoping to bulk buy and then maintain it.

Glad the horses seem to have settled well - did they load ok? You've just reminded me to book mine in for a trim - more money!

Grocery budget is something that I really need to look at again - seems to be creeping up each week x x
