DS1 has gone and lobbed a ball through the girls bedroom window. Needless to say I'm not impressed.

Got the tyres priced £58 for cheapies and £71 for more expensive ones. OH is going to shop around.

Should be working tomorrow afternoon, just waiting for a phone call to see what time.

Managed to get Avon delivered to area 1. Also, ( Hypno look away now) got to the bottom of the ironing pile!!!!!!!

House needs a through scrub and hoover and polish. It will get done eventually, then have to start again.

The world is conspiring against me to do the bloody ironing. Even Martin has closed the forums down tomorrow in a desperate attempt to get me doing houseworky type stuff

Managed to get 3 loads of washing dry. Hopefully freeing up the line tomorrow so I can wash our bedding (love the smell of it) and hang it out.

Made 8 orange drizzle cakes, some are going to the scouts fund raiser for tomorrow and the rest are for us. Also made a sticky toffee pudding for somebody else.

Worked 4 hours yesterday and another 3 today, also in tomorrow. Should hopefully get paid as well.

OH has mended window in girls room cost DS1 £10 for new glass.

Just for you my mad barking friend! The recipe is off the old style so any credit for it should go to them but I'm not sure who it is.

Lemon Drizzle Cake (substitute orange for lemon, for an orange one)

    2lb loaf tin
    4oz of butter or marge
    6oz sugar
    2 eggs lightly beaten
    6oz SR flour
    4 tbsp milk
    grated rind of lemon.

    Topping
    4 tbsp icing sugar
    3 tbsp lemon juice

Cream sugar, fat and lemon rind together. Add the eggs then flour and milk. Into a tin and bake 180oc/gas mark 4 for 45 mins until spongy to the touch.

Leave cakes in tins and stab all over with a skewer (whilst still hot). Mix lemon juice and icing sugar and put over the top of cake.

I usually make them with my Kenwood and double up and they come out fine. I also gently heat the icing sugar mix as it gets the lumps out. Leave the cakes to cool in the tins.
