Car insurance sorted and paid for in full. Tried to do the electric but everywhere had finished for the evening. !!!!!! all done with the newsletter. Going to try and get some quotes for oil today, not looking forward to that. I did order some coal, so now up to 6x50kg sacks. Hoping to get a couple more in stock before Christmas.
It's coming upto that danger period weatherwise and I think it was middle to the end of November when we got all the snow last year. It worries me reading that the states have had snow and makes me wonder when we're going to cop it.
I had new wipers put on the car a couple of weeks ago, they were ok but kept catching each other when it wasn't raining very hard. Anyway last night they caught good and proper and one of the blades is wrecked. OH has taken the car today and he'll call in at the garage.

Morning Lucielle
Cold and dark these mornings. I suppose snow really wouldn't be a big surprise in the next few weeks. We need to stock up on some oil too. You are very busy all the time. Do you sit down in the evenings for a rest?
Take care

Managed to get some whoopsies on Tuesday 6 x 30p Warburtons and some chicken reduced as well. I made chickpea curry in the slowcooker and it was awful. Had some leftovers but the dog got it for tea. Finally I've got the newsletter done is needs typing up and pictures added but our employee is a computer whizz so he'll do that, he can also put forward some suggestions as well.
Big excitement in the office as the boss has been talking Christmas party. He wants to have 2 parties, 1 for the north sites and the other for the south sites. Which means that we'll get to have an expenses paid night away in York. The only downer is that the weekend away is my birthday. Partners aren't allowed but I can honestly say that I'm more interested in the shopping aspect as I expect it will be pretty magical time of the year.
Slowly getting ready for winter I now have 6x50kgs of coal in storage and will probably get another 2 next week when I get paid. Also ordered 700 litres of heating oil but had to find another £70 as not quite enough in that account.
Got my college course this afternoon so need to go and rest the grey matter. I'll have to get Dd1s train ticket as she's off to Durham to meet up with my niece this weekend and she's soooooo excited.
She was in bits the other night as her French revision wasn't going very well. She sets her standards so high, came home telling me she'd got a B for history and 3 marks away from an A. I tried my best to help her with her French as she'd got stuck on one paragraph and was going round in circles. I think a break will do her the power of good.
Off to Penrith on Monday another long day and it'll probably take me all week to recover. Have arranged for another friend to come and 'play' so I think we'll hit Carlisle as Penrith got pretty much done last time out.
Made some soup for tea as I'll be late back. Got to take ds1 to the docs as he's having trouble swallowing and then DS2 to football, he can come with us and then walk to the footy pitch. After my course has finished I'll pop into Lidls but really need to keep the spends low.
Also set some blackberry vodka on the go. Seems to be more blackberries than vodka so might have to get some more voddy (thats the 20 quid budget blown). Have been looking at time off for Christmas and I think I'll have to work the Friday, we are each taking a day so not too bad and to be quite honest I'll probably be glad of the space and P&Q.

Hi Luielle
I would love to visit York. I have been all over the N of England and didn't make it yet. My neighbour and family spent a weekend there and thoroughly enjoyed it. Its something to look forward to. Pity hubby can't go but I am sure you will have a lovely time.
Sorry to hear about your daughter and french. My daughter who is 18 in a few weeks time is at the same stage and some days there are lots of tears too. You just have to be there for them.
You are getting well prepared for the impending Winter. You will survive it well ... warm toes and blackberry vodka:):) Super
:)
Its an absolutely stunning day here today....blue blue skys and the robins are starting to sing. What more could we want.
Take care

Been a bit miserable here today. Head feels like its about to pop off my shoulders as 1 member of the team has not SHUT UP all day about the ruddy Christmas Party and everything is said AT THE TOP OF HER VOICE. Me and the other girl are about ready to commit murder. Oil got delivered today and just to make sure everything is hunky dory have put the heating on. I need to bring some coal in tomorrow as the stove is sulking without it.
Had burgers, mash and beans for tea, t'was very nice. Managed to shove the hoover round and DD2 dusted the living room for £1. DS2 is away at a friends and off to play in a football match tomorrow. I've got DD1 to take to the station and I'll also book the tickets for York whilst I'm there.

Ah cheap child labour Lucille....where would we be without it
:)
There is always one who doesn't realise that they sound like a foghorn. I would avoid any illegal thoughts as the consequences would be enormous:):)
Hope you get a chance to relax over the weekend.
take care
