We have been arguing by text. i had to switch my phone off. I think this could be the really big one as it has been simmering for years. Normally I back down but this time it has gone too far.

Bless Lucielle - I agree those who have no kids shouldn't really comment on those who have. Until you've been thro it yourself I think people's expectations are too high! My parents used to comment on mine but I pointed out their failings in bringing us up and they soon shut up LOL

Hope you sort it out Lucielle

I have 2 sisters, but my US one is only about a year younger than me and we are/were very close.
However after nearly 20 years living apart, we have to re-set our relationship every time we meet. So there's always a period of re-adjustment with plenty of eye rolling everytime one of us opens our mouths. This often ends in intense arguing and then tears. :(
It pains me every time, but blood is thicker than water, so we always make up.

As for chocolate I'd say it's always ok to send them to bed. It should be enjoyed in peace! *Here's a bar of Green & Blacks;)*

Still tense at this end but no more texts today. Thank the Lord she hasn't got a landline and is too tight to use her mobile!

DS1 had a normal dentists appointment last night, things seem to be progressing ok. Have an appointment at the dental hospital tomorrow, interesting to see what they think. Had hope to take the chaps swimming after the dentisit but the pool only had 1 lane open so they decided it wasn't worth it. Treated them to fish and chips for tea.

Off tomorrow so I'm looking forward to a lie in. Going to Lancashire for my nieces 21st on Saturday and then home on Sunday so a busy weekend coming up.

Made a token payment of £4 towards the target card. OH gets paid tomorrow so hopefully a bit more off then. We are nearly at the point of having paid off more than we owe and slowly inching towards the next target of getting below 30k. We have been teetering on the brink for ages.

I have been saving up my scratch money, apart from the big win, and we have ordered a load of wood which is being delivered tomorrow. I am hoping that this will see us through. OH will have an excuse to get his big chopper out!!!!!! Not that he is bragging or anything.

Had some quotes through the post for the car insurance renewal. Will have to look at quidco and see what they are offering.

    Good luck with DS's teeth

Congrats on how much you've paid off - you are doing really well!

I got my insurance thro quidco - saved on the price and got £70 cashback - can't be bad and to think I didn't know about it before this site!
