Well took the plunge with bingo and it looks like its all going pear shaped. i have just deposited £20 but not played it yet. Will await and see what the wiser ones recommend I do.

Placed Asda order which came to £218 got it down a bit. That should arrive on Friday. Going out with a friend on Thursday so hopefully get some festive shopping done.

Spoke to farmers wife about the horses, she is happy for them still to be out at the mo, just depends on the weather as there is still loads of grass. Ordered a round hay bale so I am getting prepared. Will need to get the farrier in quite soon but will try and hang on until wages are paid.

with kjp - I would be tempted to withdraw - as I have lost out there. With bingobritain I have done really well!

Bingoport - there is no risk at all and might be a better place to start!

Been and changed the old boys rug for a warmer one. He got a bit excited thinking he was coming in.

Been to DS2s parents evening, everything ok. Hand writing could do with a bit of attention. I do have a confession to make, I have put the car insurance on credit card which is bugging me. I have put it on the next card to be targeted after Barclaycard. That one is so close to being clear I couldn't bring myself to put it on. I plan to pay £25 pw off this card plus the normal payment and an extra £50 so it should be back at the original rate by Christmas.

I have set a standing order for £50 a month to go into a 'car' account. This isn't really enough to cover all the car costs but will help.

DD1 came home from scouts with a letter about the next international jamboree taking place in Sweden and costing £1800. She hasn't got in yet but I am thinking this is one expense too far but it would be a terrific experience. I have got DS2s skiing trip and DD2s trip to pay for next year, plus maybe a holiday for us as well. I would love to take them all abroad before they get too old!

My kids know there is no hope of me paying stuff like that for them! I'm sure it would be a great experience if it was like £100 but am not sure it would be worht 18 times that ifyou see what I mean! Good luck whatever you decide

Glad parents evening went ok. sounding organised on the car front!

With the trips, etc, you have to do what you feel is right for you.....and only you.

We choose to work extra in order that our children can have these experiences. Others wouldn't consider doing that. Both options are the right option.

Hi lucielle. We got letters about that scout jamboree too, I just threw them away. Sadly this is not something we can afford. I am sure that's the case for most families, so please don't feel bad if you do the same.

That's a lot of money to find for a trip...but as Hypno says do as you feel is right. As at the end of the day it's your choice.
Don't worry about putting car insurance on your CC..needs must sometimes and you have a plan to pay it off.

Surely for £1800 you could rent a villa in France or Spain if not somewhere more exotic, pay for flights and even stretch to a hire car for a week. If you're going to blow that sort of money on a holiday you might as well all enjoy it.

Hi Moo I do feel that for that cost it would be better spent on all the family rather than just one.

Got tea made ready for tonight, sausage and apple pie with veggies and i might make a crumble if I can be bothered when I get in.

Paid £5.50 off target card, what was left in the bank account before tomorrows wages.
