How do mule cards work?
Hello all, I've been seeing a few mentions around here of using an MBNA card as a 'mule' to transfer a positive balance, and I was wondering what the idea is (I've done some googling and searching of the forums, but haven't turned up an explanation of the basics). I understand that the idea is to put the money-transfer…

Advice needed
My partner has an overdraft with lloyds, currently £900 and paying £1.70 per day to be in it. What’s the best thing to do, my credit is better and more chance of getting credit to pay it off. We are paying £100 per month at the moment to pay it off so wondered should I get a 0% credit card for 12 months? I wouldn’t be able…

Barclays as a mule
Hi All, Long time stoozer, not much of a poster :-) Current stooze pot is 30k against my offset mortgage which is now saving me 60-70 in interest each month - over 2k since this mortgage started. I haven't been using BT cards via a mule for a very long time (still missing Egg)... I've seen people do this with Virgin and…

Paying off a credit card with another credit card for points
Hello, I currently have two credit cards with zero balances. The first is AMEX British Airways. I use this for work expenses (fuel, train tickets etc.) and pay this off monthly. I’ve just taken a second credit card out, the Halifax Clarity credit card. This card also has a zero balance, I’m yet to use it. My reason for…

Hoq to quickly build up a stooze balance
Hi I heard about stoozing for a long time now but earning 1.2% savings by stoozing never appealed to me. I have a different purpose for it. I find that when I get credit card debts I tend to be highly motivated to pay it off fast. I am also more focused and work hard and do lots of side things to make more money. I was…

Hi all, Love reading the forums! I’d like some advice/guidance (from anyone willing to share any knowledge!) about the basics of stoozing. I have read martins step by step guide, however I’m left questioning the final step. What would you suggest would be the best step to take- repay? Or BT? And why? As I understand it you…

Hello fellow moneysavers, Looking for a bit of advice on preparing for some BTs in late 2018 and early 2019 when my 0% deals end, which will be my first rollover of stoozed money. 'Unable to verify' refusal on balance Transfer
Hi On MSE credit checker I was rated 100% likely to get balance transfer card. I have 999 credit score. So I clicked on the approved link and entering eligibility info it tells me they are unable to verify my approval status. Can anyone explain to me why this is and how I go about getting a good BT deal? Cheers

Faster returns than stoozing?
Just noticed that quidco and topcashback offer cashback for applying for credit cards. Cards can pay up to £50 per successful application but average is between £20-£30 per card on quidco and topcashback. For low spenders this can be just as lucrative as stoozing away £5000 at 1% in a year. I applied for post office 30…

Paying off the interest on Argos Store Card.
I lost my job recently and couldn't pay off the full balance as the BNPL ended on a PC I bought in-store, so now I have little money to pay off the outstanding balance. And yes I have to pay interest, which is £115 APR quid from the date of purchase. At the amount I can pay each month, it will take me about 5 months just…
