I need a fitness device that after a walk/run shows a map of the route you did in the app or ideally on something like Google Maps. Ideally something cheap like a Xiaomi, been a while since I have looked at this type of product but sure it exists widely now in the market as i do recall seeing a runner posting his route…

Sports Direct Returns
I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post in but I wanted to ask for some advice. I bought these Nike shoes from Sports direct about 3 weeks ago but at around week 2 mark a small hole already appeared on the left shoe. I tried to bring them back to two different shops in my area one was rude and all I got told was I…

Fitness Centre Refund Query
I recently booked swimming lessons, daily for one week, with a local fitness centre. They are part of a chain. I was told to pay for 5 lessons up front. I did so but after the first lesson I didn't want to continue. My swimming level is very beginner, and the lifeguards kept muttering and pulling faces. The coach was…

Gear Fit and S Health app
Hi, help needed please. I've just started using the S Health app on my Samsung Note 4. The phone is a bit big to have in an armband while I run, so I'm looking to buy one of the Samsung fit bands (second hand). Will the older Gear Fit work with the S Health app or should I be looking at a Gear Fit 2? Thanks.

Rucksack torch for jogging
I jog to work year-round, wearing a small rucksack, and some of the paths are unlit. I'd like to buy a small lightweight torch to fix to my rucksack shoulder strap to provide some illumination of the path in front of me. I don't run fast, so it doesn't need to be very bright. Has anyone found such a thing for sale? I could…

Garmin information change
Hi I have a Garmin Forerunner 25. I'd like to be able to track walking the same way I do running so I get a route and times etc as opposed to step counting. On Garmin Connect it always uses a title - This Town Running and all I'd like to do is switch that to This Town Walking, I know it can be edited but is there a way to…

exercise for middle aged overweight man
He'll hate me for the title, but it's true enough. My OH is 58, and until recently weighed 16 st 4 lb. He started the 5:2 diet just over a month ago, and has lost very nearly a stone. He would now like to add some exercise to his dieting, but isn't sure where to start. He owns a bike, and a set of golf clubs, but it's a…

What's your Olympic height?
Ever wondered how YOU measure up to the Olympians in Rio at the moment? We found this great APP from Vox.com that takes your height and matches it to your perfect Olympic event based on the height of past Olympians. We tried with MSE team members Dan (6'4") and Eesha (5'2") (as seen below) to see how they 'measured' up. As…

Multi-gym in house
Hi there, I would very much appreciate some advice if that's okay. I'm quite keen on my fitness and have a multi-gym (purchased from Argos): Men's health 66Kg home multi-gym. I'm also a first time buyer and have just recently moved house. However, I'm understandably a little bit more cautious about causing any potential…

Why don't men do core exercises?
I went to a high intensity class this morning. I think it was roughly half men and half women. I stayed on for the core exercises. There were two men and ten women and then he ran off leaving me with ten ladies in lycra. I mean who wants that? You feel like the odd one out. The instructor said one of the exercises would…
