Incontinence
Hi there, I have had a rescue Springer Spaniel for nearly three years. They guessed she was about 8 years old - she was rescued after being used for breeding. She has been on maximum dose of Urilin, for incontinence, (10 drops 3 times a day) for about 18 months. Mostly it worked well, with just the odd day being a problem.…

Taking an old dog on holiday
We are thinking of booking a week in a dog friendly caravan next month but I'm wondering how best to help my old dog Lucy while she's there with us. She's 13 now and can only walk a short distance. We have a younger dog aged 7 who's very fit so he will need frequent walks. I don't want to leave Lucy in the caravan on her…

Have you tried Nutracalm for your dog?
This is the stuff http://www.nutravet.co.uk/nutracalm We sadly had to have our elderly dog PTS at the beginning of June. Our other dog is a lurcher and has always been a bit neurotic. He is a rescue and was mistreated in a previous home. Our old dog was bossy and kept him in line if he got silly. Since our old dog has been…

Seraquin - side effects
We have started our cat on Seraquin (the alternatives all had side effects) - the tablets appear palatable (he takes them as a "treat") - however - last night - he was sick, we don't know whether this was due to the Seraquin or something else ... According to the packet, Seraquin has no side effects.. Any comments ?

Dreamies - have they changed the recipe?
In our house we call Dreamies 'kitty crack' because our puddies go mad for it... at least they used to. For the last couple of weeks they've been turning their noses up at the latest batch (yellow packs). I've even bought some from another source but with the same results... very disappointed and disgusted looking cats!…

How deep should my pond be?
We're going to move our current pond from the middle of the lawn to the edge. The new pond is only going to be small (approx 1m x 0.5m). Any advice on how deep it should be to keep our frog happy would be great. Currently we have no fish. Thanks

Always advocate for your pet - You are their voice!!
I had always been told this but it never hit home until last week. I took a rescue rabbit to the vet to discuss treatment options for one of his back legs that had been broken in the past but not treated and allowed to heal at an angle. I was immediately told by the vet that he needed to be put to sleep. I said thank you…

Dog nightmares
My dog has nightmares. He jumps up barking in the middle of the night and looks panicked. He calms down and goes back to sleep the minute he gets his bearings and realises where he is. He is a rescue and I have had him nearly three years now. It has calmed down a lot but he still does it. Any ideas on anything that might…

I have never had to leave him with anyone before, so I am a bit nervous, but unfortunately I have to board him as no one can look after him. Does anyone have any recommendations for nice kennels within the…

What do your cats cost to keep?
We may be getting a cat later this year. We're going to discuss again in October as we have a few weekends away between now and then, so it doesn't seem fair to get one now and then abandon it shortly afterwards. We live in a duplex apartment next to a main road with no garden and therefore an indoor cat is a must. I don't…

Tesco/RSA pet insurance
We changed our pet insurance over to Tesco on 24 May as our old policy expired on that day. This week our dog Ozzy developed a problem and we took him to our local vet (Companion Care) to get checked out. He checked him over on Thursday, couldn't find anything wrong apart from a slight 'click' in his back, gave him a…

I wonder if anyone else is having problems? I placed an order last week, Tuesday I think for some catfood via their web-site. To date, I have not received a dispatch notice so decided to query.
