How far back can I see my credit file?
Hi, I am trying to claim back PCP from 2011 and 12. I have no bank statements or policy number from that time. the Financial Ombudman help line has told me I need to prove I was a customer and I could do this by showing I took out the finance with Toyota Financial Services (UK) Ltd in 2011. Is this possible? Thank you

Equity release and care home fees.
Hoping this is in the right section. Our house is mortgage free and it has been a long time desire to own a campervan so we can travel and enjoy retirement to the full. We are both in our mid 70's and in fine health (touch wood). I have read about equity release which could pay for a campervan, but one thing about it…

Hi all Looking for advice on some sort of loan, not entirely sure if this is the right forum area. Advice on PCP for car
Hi all, I unfortunately got a CCJ by default. I've appealed to the court using the N244 mechanism and the court granted a stay of the judgment and set a hearing for November this year. The other side were told that I was submitting the N244 and so it was submitted with notice. However, they still proceeded to take the car.…

Best way to manage credit cards - consolidate or split?
I have about £9k debt across 3 x credit cards and the 0% APR is expiring. I have 3 other cards with zero balance which I can transfer onto @ 0% for 12 months. Buying a new car - pay in full from savings or 50% loan?
My wife and I are considering buying a car for £8000. We have £18,000 in savings and we generally save £500 per month. My view is pay in full from savings since it's less than 50% of our total savings and we'll save the money back in 16 months. My wife, however, thinks it's a better idea to take a £4000 loan out to keep…

Self-employed and cannot get car loan. How can I finance a new car?
I'm self-employed and make a fair income £26k/year. My car is falling to bits and I've long passed the point where a replacement car would be cheaper to maintain. I'm not looking to spend much – no more than £4k. I found the perfect car for £3.5k. New clutch, belt, recently serviced, perfect history. The problem is, I…
