TL;DR bought a watch as a present on 12 months interest free back in June. It hasn't arrived. Not sure how to proceed?
A detailed timeline:
A detailed timeline:
- 19th June: Bought a watch, apparently in stock, Paid £145 to the credit company (V12)
- 26th June: Became clear it wouldn't be happening (not in stock, no longer in production) - was offered a discount on an alternative. Told it would be delivered in 3-4 weeks. Paid an additional £75 to the vendor.
- 14th August: Started chasing up
- 20th August: Told the vendor I was cancelling. No reply.
- Due to time elapsed, had to order an alternative.
- 26th August: Contacted V12 and explained the situation. V12 have since attempted to contact the vendor, seemingly without success.
- 27th August: Emailed vendor. "I am a little disappointed you haven't responded to my previous cancellation emails. Just to clarify, I view your failure to deliver the watch in a reasonable timeframe a breach of contract under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I am in touch with V12 and am reminding them of their responsibilities under section 75 of the consumer credit act. I am asking for a refund and expect a full repayment within a reasonable time.". No reply.
- It seems I was wrong about section 75 - as the loan is 12 months I think it's unregulated. Do I have any rights?
- Do I contact my bank and seek a refund there? Or at least put a block on further payments
- Do I pursue this with V12 or the vendor?
- I appreciate this is part loan related, part consumer rights, is there a better place for the latter?

Go to your banking app, click on the payment in your transactions, then scroll and click "dispute payment" go through the online process, detail what went wrong, you will need proof of your order and that it was not delivered.
Repeat for each payment.
The bank will issue a temporary refund, and then dispute the matter with the company/companies concerned on your behalf.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
