Can my neigbour get away with not building according to planning consent?
This is tricky for me because my local authority is being abolished soon and being taken over by a new, much bigger authority. The planning dept shows no interest in my problem, perhaps understandably, they might be redundant soon. My neighbour built decking behind a new extension. The decking is 1.5m above ground level so…

Ladder Racks
My OH runs his own business and has a roof rack on his van for his ladders. The other day he saw a van which had a drop down section on the end of the roof rack so you could slide the ladders off the back of the van rather than lifting them which he does now. I've tried looking on the internet but the only thing I can find…

Help me find a tile?
I've noticed lots of you are having new bathrooms. :) Has anyone come across a 3" x 6" (7.5 x 15cm) flat brick (subway) tile in satin white? I'm looking for something like Fired Earth's Retro Metro tile, but they don't do a flat tile in white and the white tile they do make has an odd-looking bevelled edge. Thanks in…

We rent a room in my partner's mums…
