Pilates - good value?
My OH suffers from a back problem ( a lot of us do !) and it's been suggested that a course of Pilates would help - but it's not cheap £23 a visit. Affordable if it's going to work; but Has anybody tried Pilates and got any personal knowledge of it's benefits ? Any information appreciated.

I had an eye exam earlier this year. I started wearing glasses for reading about 8 years ago. The latest precription is still basic reading glasses but stronger than the last. However the exam was 6 months ago, I wont need another exam for near 18 months, yet I feel my sight has dive bombed! I can just about read with the…

Tooth out, why does it feel like the end of the world
Here’s one for the dentists. I had a tooth that had been giving me a lot of pain lately. I went to my dentist who proclaimed it would need to be removed. That was on Friday and, as it was before a particularly long day of work, I declined, opting to return on Wednesday morning when I knew it would be several hours before…

Problems with glasses

She had an eye test with her local optician...had to have it near to her home as she was having the more extensive diabetic eye test at the same time....after which she was advised to have a pair of glasses for reading/use when using the computer and a pair for driving. Medicals
If you require a medical eg for work or something & you find that your doctor is too busy to do it you should try ringing around other local surgeries. I have done this today and not only have I arranged a prompt appointment with another doctor I have also saved £15.00 over the cost. So folks even when it comes to doctors…

Cosmetic dentistry - in UK or Eastern Europe
I have just been quoted the price of a world cruise to have the old nashers put into a Hollywood style smile. The NHS equivalent (much less) involved those nasty words "dentures" and "metal" which brought certain images to mind (a James Bond nasty!) - the dentist very kindly suggested that I might like to take out a loan…

Accupuncture
Has anyone had accupuncture? What's it like? I've got a shoulder/neck problem and the physio recommended accupuncture, but I don't like needles. He said to think about it for a future session, as it will help. At least it's on my back, so I won't be able to see what's happening

Clutter and hoarding - help!
I live in South London, and I need help with my clutter. I can't find stuff, and I'm falling over stuff. :o I don't need someone to tidy up my flat. What I need is support, so that I can take control and keep it tidy myself. I take this very seriously - so I don't need anyone making fun of it, or putting me on How Clean is…

Facial Mole-advice on removal
Hello, My sister has been increasingly upset recently. A small freckle on her face has appeared to grow. It looks like a spot with a brown head on it. She has been to the doctor who has reassured her that it is not nor ever will be a melanoma. However, she is increasingly self conscious of it and wants to have it removed.…
