Iceland bonus card scam
My 80 year old neighbour is housebound and relies on home delivery for her shopping. Last December she applied for a Iceland groceries bonus card and topped it up with £250 online, then within weeks the online shopping said bonus cards were being upgraded and were temporarily unavailable to use for online orders. It is now…

Costa filter coffee
I much prefer the cleaner taste of filter coffee plus it's cheaper. £1.50 in my Costa Vs £2.10 for Americano. I have it black. Can I get any instant coffees which have the clean taste? If not is there a quick way I can make a filter coffee to put in a reusable cup and drink in my van? Until now I've drunk cappuccinos etc…

Supermarket online shopping
I've used Tesco online for my groceries for years and, although prices have recently increased and choice massively decreased, was prepared to continue. The final straw, small though it is,has been the stopping of carrier bags.Everything is now jumbled into the crates and has to be individually lifted out and transferred to my…

Are Tesco going to remove their closed counters?
I was in a Tesco the other day using my money off coupon. This store has closed its deli, fish and meat counters for good and they are still there. Though the hot chicken counter is there. It looks dreadful and sad that the empty counters are still in place. Does anyone know what are they going to do with the area? Extend…

Have you tried a good Cointreau substitute?
We're having friends round this weekend and I want to try a very simple pud (I'm not much of a cook) but it needs Cointreau - not only is the cheapest I can find £15.00 for the bottle, I know that the rest of it will just sit in a cupboard for months (until Christmas at least). Had anyone found a cheaper version that is…

Shopping Bags - How've you replaced yours?
Did an online shop at Asda to collect yesterday. They used to offer plastic bags at 40p. Now they don't. I reuse plastic bags in bins around the house (bathrooms, bedrooms) so feel no guilt in having my shopping put in bags. I saw on a programme that they're more environmentally friendly than bag for life types if you…

Worms in supermarket vacuum packed Fish: probably very common
When I was a kid, my parents used to cook everything well-done. I became a bit more sophisticated with rare meats and sushi, but I realised this lunchtime that I was forgetting a few important things when I discovered a live worm coiled up on my vacuum or gas pre-packed fresh cod fillets  It was exactly like this one…
