Costa filter coffee
Options
I much prefer the cleaner taste of filter coffee plus it's cheaper. £1.50 in my Costa Vs £2.10 for Americano.
I have it black. Can I get any instant coffees which have the clean taste?
If not is there a quick way I can make a filter coffee to put in a reusable cup and drink in my van?
Until now I've drunk cappuccinos etc from drive thrus but I want to stick to black coffee and stop using throwaway cups.
I'd also like to try different blends which can be bought in the supermarket but I haven't a clue how to make anything other than instant.
Many thanks

A simple old-fashioned Melitta filter cone is still a good choice, e.g.

A 1x4 size (four cups) is best because the paper filters can be bought in supermarkets.0 -
Thanks how do I use one of these?0

You stand it on top of your mug, put a paper filter inside, add your ground coffee, and pour over the hot (not boiling) water from a kettle. It then drips through into the mug in a few minutes.
They are sometimes called drip cones, pour-over cones, etc.0 -
Sounds like a do-able upgrade to instant we have a hot water tap at work which is just below boiling0

Can you not make filter coffee at home (using a cafeterie (French press) or a filter coffee machine) and pour it into a flask? They sell bags of Costa coffee in the supermarket if you like that flavor in particular.:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0
