Is work in Guernsey considered work in the UK ?
This is a bit of an odd one. I've been an investor with Lloyds for some years, just before Christmas they contacted me asking me to send in my passport. Initially I thought it was a scam letter, however, when I called Lloyds they told me it wasn't a scam and that they were checking I was a UK resident. This I was told was…

Dismissal from work due to alleged gross misconduct allegations
I was dismissed without notice from a job that I was in for nearly 5 years. Two recently recruited colleagues had made complaints against me, there was an issue with me leaving work early one day due to a family emergency and I had put something on Facebook which my employer took as a criticism. It has really upset me and…

I'm posting this seeking some advice on behalf of a relative (who I have urged to contact ACAS). She has been employed at a firm for the last 2.5 years.
