When to balance transfer?
I've got 3 credit cards on the go at the moment. The post office one is 0%, one has nothing on it, and the other one is the Norwich and Peterborough one with about 2k of balance transferred. Unfortunately, I used it to buy some stuff on, and they've started charging interest. Before I transferred to these cards, I was on…

Paying off a credit card.
Just a thought do banks ever reduce the amount on the credit card if you say you'll pay it all off there and then, i.e can you do a deal with them? For example if you had £6500 on one and then phoned them up and said if i pay £6000 will you cancel the rest??

Balance transfer
I have today arranged for a bt to my bank account but the card is in my partners name. I quoted the sort code and account no of bank etc but does it make any difference in whose name the bank account is in. I have been helping him with his finances and the credit card company agreed 2.9 and fee free for 7 months.

Tesco Credit Card
I had a 0% BT due to expire on my Tesco clubcard, so I paid off the full balance when the statement arrived last month. Then I noticed I'd accidentally got two figures the wrong way round on the payment from my current account, so I actually paid them too much and the account is in credit :o I haven't asked for it back yet…

0% interest 0% BT but not a HSBC backed card?
Hi there. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a very low or 0% interest and balance transfer credit card that is 1) Easy to setup online 2) Is not financially backed by HSBC. I've heard nightmare stories about this company and find them to be unethical and utterly unBritish. Basically their ads are…

GE Money - you are having a laugh!
Had a call from GE Money tonight (they called me on my new 0870 number, so they really did pay for the privilege!) chasing some money on an evil store card. I asked them if I could set up a direct debit which, of course, they could - but I also asked if they could change the 'due' date as the current date is before I get…

Hello all, Here is an interesting situation. I moved to the UK 1 year 2 months ago from Canada, on an internal transfer with my employer. I have a 5 year valid work permit. Egg Anniversary Offer
Hi I received my Egg statement today as I had done an anniversary BT to my current account. Knew that they had started charging a BT fee but they also charge interest on the BT fee   . So I don't think I will be using it again. It will probably get cut up & cancelled methinks.

BT OD to CC
Which cc's will allow BTs from OD's? Someone at work has an OD limit of £1200, and is currently at -£1100, getting paid about £900 a month, it is not clearing the OD at all and I believe the best thing would be BT it to a cc and then pay off a few hundred a month until its cleared otherwise she will never get out of it…
