We have a holiday cottage next to our main residence. Do we need another TV licence for the cotttage as well as main house? I saw some information that it was not required if on same site. The actual words were ' may not be required ', so that was clear.

TV and Internet only - Best & Simplest provider?
TV and Internet only - Best & Simplest provider? My brother is 70 this year and about to go on the internet for the first time. He has a Smart TV and wants to watch shows like Game of Thrones for example. He has no land line, but there is a telephone socket in the house from when he had a BT phone. He uses a non-smart old…

Possible to get Freeview without an aerial?
We've just bought a house and have realised that we cannot get Freeview TV due to trees blocking the signal. We have reached out to the council who have said pruning the trees or removing them is a big 'No, No'. We've had an aerial installer out and after spending 6 hours trying to find somewhere to install a TV aerial, he…

New Build With Persimmon Homes - Do I Need a TV Point
Hi All, I am adding my finish touches with Persimmon Homes. The salesman has stated the house will not come with a TV point. A TV point needs to be added to my finishing touches. I would have thought it was standard to have a TV point included in your living room, but it's not. Permission have stated they will set-up the…

TV licence £157.50 for 5 months?
Apologies if this thread has been on before but I couldn't find anything similar. I bought a house end of May and started up a monthly DD to cover the tv licence. I've now noticed my bank account that £31.50 is getting deducted each month instead of the £13.12 it should be. I've checked the "payment plan" the licensing…

Legal free-to-view online TV and film sites ?
Please can you suggest legal sites where one can view films and TV without requiring a TV licence. Presumably there is loads of free content out there, but my knowledge doesn't extend beyond YouTube at present. Thank you kindly.

Cancelled my TV Licence.... and feel strangely liberated!
Finally decided yesterday that I would cancel my TV Licence as I couldn't remember the last time I watched 'Live' tv. It was a weird experience, I guess because it is just one of those bills that you always have had to pay I felt almost 'naughty' in cancelling it, but then I rationalised it that I used to go fishing but…

Coaxial Cable
Recent redecorating and reorganising resulted in a 2 meter coaxial cable going AWOL ! I’m after a replacement but the ones I’ve seen on Amazon seem quite flimsy. I’m after a good strong M to F cable. Can anyone point me in that direction Many thanks

Replacing coaxial TV aerial plug
Hi againWe're decorating the living room and had to unplug and move TV etc. The aerial plug from the roof was plugged into a Sony Freeview box that hasn't been touched for years. The plug was jammed solid (looked like corrosion or other chemical reaction) and had to remove with pliers during which I stripped plug off the…
