TV and Internet only - Best & Simplest provider?

TV and Internet only - Best & Simplest provider?
My brother is 70 this year and about to go on the internet for the first time.
He has a Smart TV and wants to watch shows like Game of Thrones for example.
He has no land line, but there is a telephone socket in the house from when he had a BT phone. He uses a non-smart old style cellular phone with no frills or data.
I was wondering what is a simple to use system with basic cost?
Any advice much appreciated.

You need to sort out an internet connection first.  Cheapest solution is probably down the phone line, it may just need to be reactivated at the exchange level - the provider will arrange that.

TV wise, Now TV is probably the simplest solution, aka the poor man's Sky, as things stand this will give you access to Game of Thrones on Sky Atlantic (or on demand).  The TV will probably have Prime, Netflix and YouTube on it so you can help yourself.  Prime is not free, £80 a year but there is a limited selection of free stuff as teasers, and your £80 goes a lot further than the TV offerings - see the Amazon website.  Netflix is also chargeable but is relatively cheap.

If the brother is wanting to watch GoT then a Now TV box or a Roku stick (can access Now TV on this) would be better.
