TV Licensing in Houseshares
So I was checking the TV Licensing website to find out how I stop my license when I move house in August and discovered that from 1 Sept as part of the new rules if you are a tenant in a shared house, you have to have YOUR OWN tv license if you have your own tenancy agreement. This means that even if your landlord…

TV licence refund
Does anyone know if it is on a pro rata basis? I pay quarterly by dd so have paid about £78 so far for 16/17's licence, however sold my flat 119 days after the licence started, meaning that my liability should be £47.44 ((119/365)*£145.50). I applied for a refund almost a month ago but have not heard anything from them.

Netflix, Amazon, other, in place of iPlayer?
Our household is entirely free of TV equipment. We currently watch the occasional programme on iPlayer catch-up, but it's a tiny part of our lives. We don't currently have, or need a TV license, but will do from the end of August. Given this ultra-light usage, and that the iPlayer and catch-up only contain a selection of…

Mobile TV receiver for iPads
Not sure whether I should ask here or on the technical board. I'm looking for a portable Freeview TV receiver that operates without using data or wifi on an iPad so you can watch TV whilst out camping. I'm thinking something similar to this Humax one would be good but this review is a few years old now so I'm not sure…

It's been in the press that the "iPlayer loophole" is closing - i.e. a TV Licence will soon be required to legally watch iPlayer catchup content online.
