Buying Windows
What is the cheapest, legal way to buy Windows for a machine with no OS on it? Looking at Windows 7 or 8. No OS so don't qualify for Windows 10 on it and I guess I won't be able to take the Windows 10 download from another machine and put it on the machine with no OS instead? Or should I try Linux on the spare machine?…

Remote access laptop
I want to help a non techy friend with laptop issues and thought remote access might be the way to do it, but don't know where to start apart from Google. Main areas will be installing programs, setting up security and resolving any problems with general operation. Any suggestions of how to do this or what to use?

Query re Nokia Lumia 635
Hi All, I have a Nokia Lumia 635 which 'helpfully' reminds me whenever there's a bank holiday or some other noteworthy event. It reminds me the day before, for heaven's sake. Today it's letting me know that tomorrow is the Battle of the Boyne in Northern Ireland. That's great but it's of no interest to me. :rotfl: These…

Hi, I have a laptop with a huge C drive capacity of 282GB. Google suspicious login
Has anybody had one of these? I'm not sure if it was just a brute force attempt or if the password had leaked somehow. I'm 99.99% sure the email is genuine but I still didn't use any links in it to reset my password.
