KB3035583 Windows 10
God bless their little hearts. Microsoft have managed to circumvent the 'Hide update' for the utterly pathetic Windows 10 upgrade. Now it's trying to force its way onto my computers again. So, a month later, I have to go through the same process again to stop the automatic update. Gee whizz, Microsoft know how to impress…

Avast
Uninstalled Avast using their uninstaller and then decided to check for leftovers using Revo Pro. It found 1381 leftover files and folders and took 80 minutes to delete them. Just shows what junk can be left behind.

Virus?
I was on the internet when a file suddenly downloaded on to my computer. It wasn't anything I did and I wasn't on any dodgy site. Having had a bit of a look at my computer, I noticed that a similar file had been downloaded about 3 weeks ago. I have run avast and malwarebytes, but they have shown up nothing. I did do a scan…

I can't access Factory Reset.
Because of long standing issues with my acer aspire 9420 running vista ultimate I want to do a factory reset. For the last week or so, the only way I can surf is to force closure (long power press). Then when rebooting and the black screen, use Safe Mode with networking.. This gives limited use. I have saved anything I…

I had an ipod, (I had an ipod touch 4th Generation) but it was stolen about 6 weeks ago on the tube and it's not been handed in. It was quite dated, fickle, and likely had water damage (being accidentally submerged water a few times) but I really relied on it for all my music, the odd iplayer show, podcasts and iTunes…
