I had an ipod, (I had an ipod touch 4th Generation) but it was stolen about 6 weeks ago on the tube and it's not been handed in.

It was quite dated, fickle, and likely had water damage (being accidentally submerged water a few times) but I really relied on it for all my music, the odd iplayer show, podcasts and iTunes lectures.

Is there any way anyone knows of that iTunes podcasts and so on can be transferred to an android device? I've already tried checking out website for downloadable podcasts but they all link to iTunes so I am assuming it's iTunes or nothing. I have a very old 2nd generation nano but it wont transfer anything other than a small fraction of my music, no podcasts, lectures or anything else. I have the S3 but no other Apple devices.

there are plenty of android pod cast apps out there. i use 'podcast addict' and any podcasts that i've searched on the itunes store are downloadable onto the android device via podcast addict.

don't think you can transfer already downloaded podcasts from itunes to an android device though, so may mean you have to re-download the ones you want.

    Open iTunes
    Click Edit>Preferences>Advanced

This will tell you when your iTunes library is located. mine is in

    C:\Users\XXXXX\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media

Navigate to this folder, you should see a Podcasts folder, open it and your podcast files will be there in lovely MP3 format, copy to where ever you want.

Your iTunes U stuff will be in the iTunes U folder, formats will vary but most can be re-encoded for use anywhere else.
