I have searched high and low for a specific dress and have found it on this website (not necessarily cheap)!!

I am struggling to find reviews (I'm thinking that might be a bad thing), but I am desperate for this particular dress... does anyone know or have any advice how I check?

The scam adviser website suggests it's probably unsafe and based in China, so I wouldn't bother if I was you.

Where to start? Domain is registered to a chinese person, but nowhere on this site I can see what their address is. Only way to contact them is a Gmail address. ...

As above, it's a Chinese company/person ... details very quickly found via a WHOIS check. You pays your money, you takes your chance.

I'd personally avoid them with only gmail contact.

Business websites are supposed to carry full contact details. If they disregard that legal requirement then the chances are if anything should go wrong you'd be out of pocket - and that is giving them the benefit of doubt on not being an outright scam.
