daughter has activated phone lock on samsung gte2120

Is this adequate security?
I have just taken McAfee off my laptop and replaced it with the free Microsoft Security Essentials. I also have Malwarebytes, CCcleaner and Spybot. Is that adequate? I can have McAfee free for 7 computers with my Broadband provider but I know that a few of you do not recommend it.
