should you still get a degree if you want to be
a stewardess ? a model? we think it may be a waste of time (our friend is from the czech republic and she says in her country they study until they are 26) but we think that unless you are considering being a doctor or lawyer this coudl be a waste of too many years. maybe a year or 3 years max or a vocational course would…

Funding for second degree / further education?
Can anyone tell me if there is any funding available for a second degree? I graduated with a law degree in 1989. I qualified as a solicitor and did well, but in 2002 I was involved in a bad car accident and became disabled and housebound. I am a bit more mobile now, but still unable to work. I am in receipt of Incapacity…

Phone, Internet, Tv - NTL or who else?
Hi there. I have always been advised to go with NTL as they have attractive packages which cover cable tv (inc prem chans), fast internet and a good phone package. I just found out though its minimum 12 months and they won't do it for only the 9 I'll be living for.. Can anyone advise on what's the best thing to do? Thanks

Career Development Loan - Barclays - Early payment penalty?
Does anyone know the max this is likely to cost for £8k? As I understand it, it is supposed to be compensation for interest that Barclays lose out on in the deal as you had a contract to repay it over an extended period. Just want to factor this cost into my consideration of whether I go ahead with everything or not :)

I don't receive tax credits or any other "benefit" as a lone parent (Am I even considered as such? I don't know) and I don't really want to claim for anything that…
