has anyone done an open university MBA?

any comments on it? how many hours of study does one have to put in? do we have to buy a lot of costly study books? could one get a CDL loan for this? what is the difference with the professional student loan? how much are you supposed to be earning to get this loan?
as it is distance learning could one also live abroad part of the year?

for people who are working in the uk and studying and have children could they also claim any other financial help?

The OU can answer most of your questions (eg about book-buying -- almost certainly no need -- and about required study time). Anyway, more than 50 per cent of UK MBAs were awarded by the Open Business School.

As for living abroad, remember that they will regularly post course material to you. If you ask them to send material to an address outside the UK then you have to pay a higher tuition fee. And you may want to have a face-to-face discussion with your tutor at some stage, so you would have to be in or travel to the UK for this.
