Moderating Changes
Thought I would let regulars know of some Moderating changes before it becomes official. Abuse Controller: The old moderator system has been replaced by an Abuse Controller (the name change is due to take place soon). There is currently one person who will be doing this as paid work, rather than the old stipend volunteer…

MSE SWAP SHOP
This site is about being Money saving savvy and how to save money by getting back at the big companies. Well how about getting back at ebay. From the Argos threads, one can see there is a demend for a swap shop. It may not fit in with the MSE objectives and aims, but Martin, you have to change and adapt to what your…

Slow Site Feedback Please
Hi. we've noticed some posts about the site speed. Whilst we know we are peeking on tip day and radio 2 day. It shouldn't be slow at other times. Please can you note when you find it slow? Whether it's the main or the chat site? How slow it is (how many seconds for a page to load) and what you were doing This would be a…

Jargon buster or Glossary?
As a frequent browser and (slowly increasing!) contributor to the site, a suggestion for a useful page / easy access portion of the site. MSE costing users time and money !
The MSE e-mails average 40,000 to 50,000+ characters each, the real information in it is around 9000-10000 characters, so those who pay by the minute on dial up, or on adsl with capping are paying for the PRETTY PRETTY of HTML. If you take it that there are around 100,000 ? subscribers, that is an awful lot of bandwidth…

Logon password
I deleted my cookies yesterday, so had to log in to the site today, instead of getting in automatically. I was stumped to remember my password, being a random line of letters and numbers. Luckily I eventually found where I had written it down. Is there any facility for changing the system-generated password for a personal…
