I have today recieved a note form Parcelforce to say that I have to pay VAT of £30.60 on the item and a Parcelforce clearance charge of £8.00. VAT on p & p delivery charge
I was about to order something which is cheaper online than in retail stores when I noticed - yet again - that VAT was not added to the item alone, but right at the end to include postal and packing. Does p&p or courier delivery count as a VAT chargeable service? Info gratefully received.

Asda in Andover have girls school blazers (age 10/11 - 15/16) on sale at only £2.00. Lots on the rails. It's always worth having a spare, or buy a size larger for next year. At that price it will probably cost more to buy the badge to sew on the pocket!
